The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Features A Playable Link, According To ESRB Rating

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom might be most notable for allowing you to play as Zelda herself, but series mainstay Link will also be playable, according to the game's ESRB listing. Just how prominent of a role he plays, however, remains to be seen.

The listing reads, "As Link, players use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies; Zelda can use a magic wand to summon creatures (e.g., wind-up knights, pig soldiers, slime) for battle." What exactly the split between Link and Zelda will entail is still unknown. Zelda's ability set will likely be entirely different from Link's. She can also summon household items like tables and chairs and more unusual objects like water blocks.

Some users on Reddit have speculated, based on the trailer, that you will play as Link in an intro section and then take over as Zelda once he is captured. How To Play College Football 25 Early

After more than a decade since its latest release, EA's college football video game series is back this week in the form of EA Sports College Football 25. The game officially launches on July 19, but there are multiple ways to play the game starting July 16.

Everyone who buys the game's deluxe edition ($100) can start playing the full game on July 16. This is pretty standard stuff for EA, as it often opens its games up multiple days early to people who pay extra.

Switch Online Adds More Games Never Released In The US

Two decades after their initial release in Japan, Nintendo's first three Densetsu no Starfy games have finally made their American debut. Nintendo Switch Online members who have the premium expansion pack can now play the Game Boy Advance titles Densetsu no Starfy, Densetsu no Starfy 2, and Densetsu no Starfy 3. As you can see in the announcement trailer below, Starfy looks like a very cheerful star who should probably be teaming up with Kirby.

Although Nintendo has now made the game available, the publisher hasn't localized any of the games with English translations. That means you may have to brush up on your Japanese if you want to follow the on-screen text. Fortunately, the Starfy games are platformers instead of intricately plotted RPGs, and they should be easy enough to play without formal instructions.Gallery

The first game introduces Starfy and depicts his attempt to return to his kingdom in the sky, Pufftop, while also facing the villain Ogura. Densetsu no Starfy 2 features the return of Ogura as he kidnaps Starfy's mother, forcing the hero to go on a quest to save her. Starfy's sister, Starly, is introduced in Densetsu no Starfy 3, which reveals that another villain who has been backing Ogura's schemes. The building is the Greenhouse, which can be repaired and used after completing the corresponding section of the Community Center or by paying the fee at Joja Mart. Repairing the Greenhouse allows you to grow crops inside, ignoring the seasonal restriction on crops that are planted outside.

How to unlock the Greenhouse



There are two ways to unlock the Greenhouse, depending on which story path you are going down. If you are doing Joja Mart, you simply need to pay the 35,000G fee to have it repaired. After paying the fee, the Greenhouse will be repaired overnight.

If you are doing the Community Center path, the more popular of the two paths, you will need to fully complete the Pantry bundles. The Pantry is unlocked after completing one bundle. Angry Demon Studio made the announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing directions on how to appear in the credits as a "Lifesaver." Basically, it boils down to taking a selfie while giving blood and using the hashtag "GorisGotBlood" on either X or Instagram. It's all part of turning "a bloody mess into a bloody good cause."

The Animated Watchmen Chapter 1 Is Up For Preorder Right Now

For decades, folks acted as though the graphic novel Watchmen, by Alan Moore, was somehow unadaptable. But clearly that isn't the case--the book was translated to the screen for the first time with the 2009 Zack Snyder movie, and the Watchmen universe was expanded with the HBO sequel series. And now it's time for another straight adaptation of the book, this time an R-rated, 2D-animated version split across two films. The first part, Watchmen Chapter 1, is landing on August 27, and you can preorder it on 4K Blu-ray now.

Watchmen Chapter 1 is the first of a two-part adaptation of the Watchmen graphic novel. It's animated, which should make it easier to include some of the weirder aspects of the story than it was with the live-action film, plus splitting it into two movies theoretically allows for more time to flesh everything out.

And the cast is quite solid, mostly consisting of well known career voice actors like Kari Wahlgren, Yuri Lowenthall, Grey Griffin, Rick Wasserman,and Troy Baker--the last of whom voices Ozymandias. Alongside those folks, we've got some stars of the small screen lending their talents to the film as well: Bosch's Titus Welliver plays Rorschach, Perry Mason's Matthew Rhys is Nite Owl, and The Mandalorian's Katee Sackhoff is Silk Spectre.

New Persona 4 Golden PC Mod Makes It Look Like The Original On PS2

A PC mod for Persona 4 Golden has been released that makes its graphics look like how they looked like on the original PS2 game. It's currently 40% complete and only covers the game's dungeons so far.

Gamebanana user BrawlerAce created the Fog Restoration mode in order to allow players to experience the visuals of the original Persona 4 through Persona 4 Golden. The latter is much more accessible due to it being on all platforms, where as the original is only available on PS2.

Concord Beta: How To Get In, When To Play, And Rewards

Sony has revealed more details for the Concord early access beta, including global release times and the recommended hardware requirements for PC. The early-access period will be open to all PS Plus subscribers, although it was initially only open to people who had preordered the game. Progress will carry over from the early access beta to the open beta--but not the full game--and Sony says PS Plus subscribers can pre-download the beta now.Concord beta rewards

All 16 Freegunner characters will be unlocked and available to play in the betas, and three game modes will be available across three maps: Clash Point, Trophy Hunt, and Cargo Run. Once the open beta begins on July 18, the mode Area Control will be added alongside a fourth map. Concord is currently scheduled to launch on August 23 for PC and PS5.

The Legend Of Zelda Books Are B2G1 Free At Amazon In Early Prime Day Sale

Target and Amazon are each hosting wide-ranging buy two, get one free promotions on video games, books, movies, board games, and more. You won't find Nintendo Switch games in the catalogs, but you can get some pretty awesome books about one of Nintendo's most iconic franchises: The Legend of Zelda. Both sales include the stellar Zelda art and lore books published by Dark Horse. These offers will be available at Target until its Circle Week sale ends on July 13. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Not A Day-One Game Pass Release For The New Tier

Microsoft recently announced a price hike for Xbox Game Pass and a new tier of the popular subscription service. If you're already signed up for the membership program, or are considering jumping in before Black Ops 6 comes to the catalog later this year, there are some key things to know.

To begin with, the new Game Pass tier, Game Pass Standard ($15/month), will not include Black Ops 6 or any of Microsoft's other games as day-one launch titles. However, Game Pass Standard members still get access to a library of hundreds of games, along with perks like multiplayer access and discounts. And then there is a possibility of any and all of Microsoft's first-party games coming to other Game Pass tiers eventually, we just know that it won't be right away for Game Pass Standard.

2K Sports has announced NBA 2K25, and for the first time, the game has cover stars from both the NBA and the WNBA on one of its editions. Jayson Tatum, who just recently won a championship with the Boston Celtics, is on the cover next to back-to-back WNBA champion A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces. They will grace the cover together for the NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition ($100 USD).

On the big screen, Nicolas Cage has taken on just about everything from deadly criminals to killer animatronics. But the one thing that scares the actor more than any made-up threat is AI. Cage recently explained some of his AI fears despite the fact that he allowed his entire body to be scanned for his upcoming Spider-Man Noir series on Prime Video and MGM+.

"They have to put me in a computer and match my eye color and change--I don't know," Cage told The New Yorker. "They're just going to steal my body and do whatever they want with it via digital AI. … God, I hope not AI. I'm terrified of that. I've been very vocal about it. … And it makes me wonder, you know, where will the truth of the artists end up? Is it going to be replaced? Is it going to be transmogrified? Where's the heartbeat going to be? I mean, what are you going to do with my body and my face when I'm dead? I don't want you to do anything with it!"

Cage previously spoke about his AI fears when he was asked about his cameo as Superman in The Flash. For the Spider-Man Noir series, Cage is reprising his role from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as an alternate version of Spidey from a world set in the Great Depression of the 1920s. There Is A New Way To Play Xbox Game Pass Games Today, No Console Required

Back in June, Microsoft announced a deal with Amazon to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to Fire TV devices, and today, July 8, that functionality has gone live. What this means is the Xbox experience is now available in yet another place, and people do not need to buy an Xbox console to play.

As a takeover ad on the Xbox website reminds us, anyone with an Amazon Fire TV stick can now play games from within the Game Pass catalog. Beyond a Fire TV stick, you'll need some kind of controller. Xbox controllers are supported, of course, but a PlayStation controller works as well (here is the full list of supported controllers).

You'll need to be a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to get access to cloud gaming as well, and of course, you'll want to have a fast and consistent internet connection. 2K Is Reportedly Remaking A Game, And Fans Are Filling In The Blanks

It looks like 2K is remaking one of its games, but we don't know any more details about what the game could possibly be. Fans are taking guesses at what they want to see, with names like BioShock, The Darkness, and Spec Ops: The Line popping up.

According to the LinkedIn page of a 2K 3D artist (found by MP1st), 2K is working on an upcoming unannounced remake. However, the mention of the remake has since been removed, as well as any mention of a canceled project by Supermassive Games, called "Erebus." Some other projects that are listed in the profile are upcoming Mafia and BioShock games.

One possible remake candidate is the first BioShock, as that could drive future interest in the upcoming BioShock game. Haters Be Damned: Elden Ring Summoning Leads To Shadow Of The Erdtree's Best Moment

Igon is the best character in Shadow of the Erdtree. He's the best character in all of Elden Ring, in fact. He might be the best character in any From Software game. And if you're the kind of person who makes "git gud" a cornerstone of your personality, you probably missed out on him.

You find Igon at the base of the Jagged Peak, and at first, he's kind of a pathetic figure. He's already injured when you discover him, and from his wailing laments, you learn that he's trying to kill a huge and horrific dragon called Bayle the Dread. Apparently, Bayle already kicked Igon's ass and he can no longer walk, so being the very nice person that you are, you leave him crying on the side of the road.

You might have thought Igon was a sad, broken man, but you haven't yet seen the depths of his resolve. Later, as you climb the mountain, you slay a few dragons who stand in your way--first one, alone, and then two together. After winning the battle against two dragons at once, you hear laughter. It's Igon, and seeing your performance convinces him that you're the partner he's been waiting for. He cuts off his own finger--that's how summoning NPCs works in Elden Ring--and gives it to you, begging you to summon his soul in your fight against Bayle.Continue Reading at GameSpot

One of the more appealing aspects of Star Wars: The Acolyte has been its standalone nature, taking place so far before the main parts of the franchise that it feels pretty separate. But the further the series has gone on, the closer to the films it's felt--and we peaked on that front when an actual movie character made a cameo appearance this week. It wasn't a major or particularly consequential part, but it's certainly a surprising one.

The Jedi in question is the cone-headed Ki-Adi-Mundi, who was a member of the Jedi Council in the prequel films--a role he apparently held for a century or more, since he was present for a Council meeting on The Acolyte this week. Sony Confirms Another Uncharted Movie Is Still Happening

It's only been a little over two years since Sony's Uncharted movie brought the fan-favorite PlayStation games to the big screen, but the studio hasn't exactly been in a hurry to give the sequel a green light. Most of the updates about Uncharted 2 have been filled with uncertainty about whether the sequel would happen at all. Now, Sony has finally confirmed that another Uncharted movie is definitely going forward.

Via Variety, Sony’s President of International Distribution Steven O’Dell listed the Uncharted sequel as one of the studio's upcoming projects during a presentation at the CineEurope trade show. O'Dell didn't offer any further details beyond that. The first film featured Tom Holland in the leading role as Nathan Drake, with Mark Wahlberg as his mentor, Victor "Sully" Sullivan.

Wahlberg has spoken about the potential Uncharted sequel a few times since the original film's release. Lords Of The Fallen Sequel Announced But Probably Won't Be On Steam

CI Games has announced that a sequel to Lords of the Fallen is currently in development, and it most likely will not be sold on Steam for its PC release.

CI Games revealed that Epic Games has the exclusive distribution rights for the Lords of the Fallen sequel on PC for its entire product life cycle. However, the IP rights and publishing rights for other platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, remain with CI Games. The studio mentions that the game is due out in 2026 as well. The announcement refers to it as a sequel to Lords of the Fallen, so it may not actually be called "Lords of the Fallen 2."

House Of The Dragon Trailer Reveals What's Coming Up In Season 2

After the way House of the Dragon Season 1 ended, it was inevitable that Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) was going to want revenge for the death of her son. But even Rhaenyra couldn't have predicted the form that revenge would take during the Season 2 premiere. Thanks to a callous act on Rhaenyra's behalf, the Targaryen civil war is only going to be more intense, as seen in the new House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer.
