Netflix Announces New Tomb Raider, Kong: Skull Island Anime Series

Netflix Announces New Tomb Raider, Kong: Skull Island Anime Series

Netflix is partnering with Legendary Entertainment for new anime shows based on the new Tomb Raider games and the Kong movie Skull Island. The Tomb Raider anime will follow Lara Croft's adventures after the events of the Crystal Dynamics reboot trilogy, which wrapped up with 2018's Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The Skull Island anime, meanwhile, follows a shipwrecked crew on an island who face off against monsters and Kong himself. This was also the plot for the 2017 film Kong: Skull Island. According to Deadline, Brian Duffield (The Babysitter) is writing and producing the Skull Island series. The Witcher: Blood Origin's Tasha Huo is writing the Tomb Raider anime series. You can see Netflix's announcement tweets for both shows below.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Balan Wonderworld Shows Glimpses Of Promise

Balan Wonderworld Shows Glimpses Of Promise

Despite its reputation as an RPG factory, Square Enix has dabbled in numerous other genres in the past, but Balan Wonderworld is one of the publisher's biggest departures in recent memory. The brainchild of former Sonic producer Yuji Naka and his new team, Balan Company, Balan Wonderworld is a kaleidoscopic platformer rife with collectables. It's a far cry from Square Enix's traditional output, but there are glimmers of potential here--as well as some causes for concern. We had a chance to play an early access version of the upcoming Balan Wonderworld demo, which features four levels across three worlds and one early boss battle. Almost from the outset, faint traces of Naka's previous series could be felt in Balan Wonderworld. As in Sonic, worlds are broken up into separate "acts," and one of the game's costumes even gives you the ability to unleash a Sonic-like mid-air lock-on attack. Despite these initial similarities, however, Balan Wonderworld is by and large a more methodical sort of platformer, emphasizing exploration and item collection over the fast-paced, high-flying spectacle found in Sonic the Hedgehog. The game's signature hook is its vast array of costumes. Each one you collect grants a different power; one costume, for instance, lets you perform a tornado jump that can destroy certain blocks and repel tornado attacks back at enemies, while another lets you float through the air and ride updrafts.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Atari Games Are Headlining Plex's Video Game Subscription Service

Atari Games Are Headlining Plex's Video Game Subscription Service

The popular service used for streaming music, TV shows, and movies on your own computer, Plex, is now adding video games to its repertoire. The new gaming branch of the service will be called Plex Arcade, and will be either $3 or $5 a month depending on your current Plex membership. As the "Arcade" part of the service's name implies, Plex will be focusing on allowing people to stream older games--Atari games to be precise. There are currently 27 Atari games available on the service, including arcade classics like Centipede, Missile Command, and Super Breakout. Games from the Atari 2600 and 7800 also make an appearance. Signing up for Plex Arcade and using it won't be quite as easy as signing into a regular streaming service on your console. To get started, you'll need a Plex media server running on a Windows or macOS computer. You will also need a Parsec account, and will have to log into it through your Plex server. Once you've gotten all that set up, you'll be able to check out Plex Arcade and its relative freedom.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Intergalactic Factory Sim Dyson Sphere Program Is Off To A Strong Start On Steam

Intergalactic Factory Sim Dyson Sphere Program Is Off To A Strong Start On Steam

The space-based Factorio-like Dyson Sphere Program has garnered serious traction on Steam, with over 200,000 copies sold in two days. Released back on January 21 in Early Access, Dyson Space Program is a factory simulator similar to Satisfactory and Factorio, where players are challenged to build an industrial installation that rapidly escalates in automation and complexity. Dyson Sphere Program sets itself apart from its competitors by taking place at a galactic scale. The ultimate goal of the game is to build titular Dyson Spheres, which are hypothetical constructs from the pages of sci-fi author Olaf Stapledon. Theoretically, if humanity could build a gigantic sphere around a given star, we could harness much of the star's power output to meet the energy requirements inherent to intergalactic travel. Several of the game's Steam reviews describe Dyson Space Program as a step forward for the factory-building genre. However, they note that the game lacks certain quality-of-life features that players might expect, such as the ability to easily dismantle groups of buildings.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Report: Season, Darwin Project Studio Described As "Toxic Work Environment"

Report: Season, Darwin Project Studio Described As "Toxic Work Environment"

Scavengers Studio, the developer behind the battle royale Darwin Project and the upcoming narrative-focused game Season, is the subject of a report at GamesIndustry.biz that describes the studio as a toxic work environment that was particularly hostile and demeaning to women employees. In the report, nine anonymous current and former employees of the studio describe a culture of bullying and sexism that was introduced and perpetuated by the company's co-founders, Simon Darveau and CEO Amélie Lamarche. The report cites Darveau as the main instigator of most of the behavior, including one incident where he groped multiple women employees at a workplace party, leading several of them to quit the studio. It also accuses Darveau of other bizarre and childish behavior, such as stealing alcohol from neighboring workplaces, openly making fun of the company's sexual harassment policies, or outright screaming at employees during meetings. Though Darveau and Lamarche are singled out in the report, the culture of sexism went far beyond their conduct alone. One employee described a particularly egregious incident where a person suggested that the main character of Season, Abby, should play the guitar. Another person remarked that such a feature wouldn't be "realistic" because the guitar is too complicated for a woman to play, suggesting that Abby should play a ukulele instead.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Here's A Look At A Cancelled Bioware Game

Here's A Look At A Cancelled Bioware Game

Once designed as a sequel to Bioware's Jade Empire, Revolver was intended to expand the kind of game design Bioware was known for into an action-heavy open world, before it was quietly cancelled in 2008. First revealed to the public last year in Bioware's book Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development, new concept art from Revolver shows some surprisingly Cyberpunk aesthetics. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Matt Rhodes (@mattrhodesart) Bioware art director Matt Rhodes recently posted a collection of the Revolver concept art to Instagram, detailing designs for heroes, enemies, antagonists, NPCs, and the world at large. Nvidia Shield TV Is Now Compatible With Xbox Series X/S And PS5 Controllers

Gaming on the Nvidia Shield TV streaming device has just gotten a boost, with the announcement that Xbox Series X/S and PS5 controllers would be able to be paired as of update 8.2.2, as reported by TalkAndroid. The new generation controllers can be paired via Bluetooth in a quick process. While the Nvidia Shield TV is still a bit of a niche device versus cheaper streamers like Roku and Fire TV, the new update will be good news for the gamers who make use of the device to stream GeForce Now, Nvidia's GameStream, or Steam Link via its app. To pair the controllers, start Bluetooth pairing on the Shield and enter pairing mode on the controller. For PS5's DualSense this can be done by holding the PlayStation button and share/clip button until the light turns blue, for Xbox Series X/S, hold the pairing button until the Xbox button blinks.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Cyberpunk 2077 Had Biggest Digital Game Launch Ever - Report

Cyberpunk 2077 Had Biggest Digital Game Launch Ever - Report

Cyberpunk 2077's launch may have been a mess for CD Projekt Red, but the game still managed to sell an incredible number of units--and many of those were digital. According to the analytics company SuperData, the game had the biggest digital game launch of all time, even when factoring in refunded copies. SuperData estimates that Cyberpunk 2077 sold 10.2 million digital units during its launch period, making it the biggest game launch based on both digital revenue as well as overall units sold. This number does not take into account the refunded copies, but SuperData said the difference would not be significant enough to overturn the record. SuperData has occasionally had its data disputed, as was the case with Epic Games in early 2020. The report said about 80% of the digital sales were on PC, which could account for why the refund totals didn't make much of an impact on this record. The game's worst problems were predominantly on PS4 and Xbox One, where crashing issues and poor performance led CD Projekt to apologize and even offer its own refunds in case retailers would not accept them.Continue Reading at GameSpot

A Quiet Place: Part 2 has been delayed until September. The horror sequel is the latest movie in the last few days to have its release pushed to the fall. The movie will now hit theaters on September 17, 2021. A Quiet Place: Part 2 was originally scheduled for March 20, 2020 and was one of the first films to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic Game Reportedly Being Made Without BioWare

New Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic Game Reportedly Being Made Without BioWare

BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is widely considered to be among the best Star Wars games ever made, as well as one of the best licensed role-playing games. Since the second game released in 2004, we've been in the dark on any follow-ups, but a new game is reportedly coming from a completely different company. That's according to VGC as well as Star Wars insider Bespin Bulletin and Nate Najda--better known online as Shinobi602--the new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game isn't being made by Electronic Arts or BioWare. Those sources didn't say who would be developing the new game, though Najda seemed to indicate it wasn't going to be a well-known studio. Electronic Arts had been publishing console and PC Star Wars games exclusively for the last several years, beginning with Star Wars: Battlefront in 2015 and eventually leading to games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Squadrons. The company seemed to be finally hitting its stride with the franchise, though it had also canceled several Star Wars games. However, with Ubisoft's Massive studio now creating an open-world Star Wars game, it appears nearly anyone could be in charge of this apparent new Knights of the Old Republic.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Hitman 3 Mission Walkthrough - Carpathian Mountains (Untouchable)

Hitman 3 Mission Walkthrough - Carpathian Mountains (Untouchable)

Hitman 3 caps off the journey with a mission that's quite out of the ordinary for the series. Carpathian Mountains (Untouchable) takes on a more linear design, leaving you little room to work with and fewer options for clever methods--think of it more as an epilogue mission to tie up the story's loose ends. While it may be straightforward, it can still be challenging, so we'll walk you through it in case you need some pointers. For your first time in this mission, you'll start with Agent 47's flashbacks and visions followed by walking up in a secluded test lab. You won't have any items to start with and you have no guidance since there are no Missions Stories to follow, similar to how Berlin, Apex Predator started. But fret not, this one's not as complex or free-roaming as Berlin. Take note that every NPC is fair game in this mission and you will actually be rewarded with XP for every kill. If you need help with any previous missions in case you want to complete leftover Mission Stories or knock out every assassination challenge, be sure to check out our full Hitman 3 guides and walkthroughs hub.Continue Reading at GameSpot

On Destiny 2's Europa, We're Still Waiting On Revelations About Cayde-6

On Destiny 2's Europa, We're Still Waiting On Revelations About Cayde-6

One of the best things about Destiny 2's Beyond Light expansion is how much concrete story it has delivered. Destiny's story has always been unwieldy, largely because there's a lot of it--but most of it took place in the distant past, somewhere outside of what's actually in the game. In Beyond Light, Bungie tied together a host of dangling lore threads, filling in gaps we've been wondering about for a long, long time. Names like Clovis Bray finally have faces, and characters we've been wondering about from Destiny 1, like the Exo Stranger, have finally explained their actions. Every so often, Bungie collects some of those lore entries together into book form, as Destiny Grimoire Anthologies. The books center on specific themes, like the influence of the Darkness or the history of the Fallen, and each one has been relevant to whatever stories Destiny 2 was telling at the time of their release. Grimoire Anthology Vol. 3, which was released right around the launch of Beyond Light, includes lore relevant to the Exos, Rasputin, and Clovis Bray--and gives some clues about what we might still learn on Europa. Beyond Light's backstory is all about the birth of the Exo race--robots into which human consciousnesses have been downloaded. That's a major part of the third Grimoire Anthology book as well, with the book compiling lore entries about the Exos' strange relationship with the Deep Stone Crypt. The book ends with what feels like a major clue as to what we can expect from the story on Europa as it continues to unfold in coming seasons. The last portion of the book focuses on Destiny's most famous Exo, the former Hunter Vanguard and the character who was murdered to kick off the Forsaken expansion: Cayde-6.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Amazon Employees In The US Will Vote On Forming A Union

Amazon warehouse workers from the company's Bessemer, Alabama site will soon vote on whether or not they want to join the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, NPR reports. The vote will take place by mail due to concerns around COVID-19, the National Labor Relations Board decided, and will run from February 8 to March 29. The scheduled vote follows a hearing where Amazon and the retail workers union decided who in the company should be eligible to have a say in the unionization effort. Both parties unanimously agreed that the company's many seasonal workers should also be able to vote. Unions are common within Amazon's European operations, but no unionization efforts in the US have yet succeeded. USB Is Now 25 Years Old

USB connectors are the universal standard not just for computer peripherals, but for charging most phones, tablets, and small devices. It's hard to remember a world without USB, which debuted almost exactly 25 years ago, on January 15, 1996. The reminder comes courtesy of How-To Geek, which has published an in-depth feature on the history of the USB and its development. It's a reminder of how complicated, difficult to set up, and even expensive computer ports could be before the USB, or Universal Series Bus, became the standard for connecting a mouse, keyboard, game controller, or any number of computer peripherals that adopted the technology. USB was a truly universal effort, emerging as a collaboration between multiple big tech names: Intel, Microsoft, IBM, Compaq, Digital Equipment Corporation, NEC, and Northern Telecom. Adoption of the tech wasn't immediate, and many attribute its eventual success to Apple's release of the iMac in 1998, which was the first PC to ditch legacy ports and only support USB.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Cyberpunk 2077: When Is DLC Releasing?

Cyberpunk 2077: When Is DLC Releasing?

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now and, if you can get the game to run on your system, it tells a complete story. However, CD Projekt Red has DLC planned for the open-world RPG, and earlier said this content was planned for early this year. With the game's troubled launch, which even included it being pulled from the PlayStation Store, that timetable now looks unlikely. But just when will we get Cyberpunk 2077 DLC? When will Cyberpunk 2077 DLC release? In a post on the game's official website in January 2020, CD Projekt Red outlined a new roadmap for Cyberpunk 2077 in 2021. This roadmap still has free DLC releasing in 2021, but the studio says it wants to address the most pressing issues with Cyberpunk 2077 before it moves onto this content. More information is going to be shared "in the coming months," but there isn't a firm timetable for a release date. The post also lists the free next-gen updates on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 as coming out after this DLC. If you're waiting for those versions before you play Cyberpunk 2077 at all, that should at least mean all the free DLC will be available by the time those versions are out.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Cyberpunk 2077: When Is Multiplayer Coming?

Cyberpunk 2077 has been available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC since December 2020, offering the full single-player Night City experience with Keanu Reeves, tons of side missions, and nearly as many bugs. Despite the game's rough edges, it's a fascinating look at the future, and CD Projekt Red has promised there will also be a Cyberpunk multiplayer experience eventually. But just when will we be able to play this, and what will it include? When is Cyberpunk 2077 getting multiplayer? If you were hoping to play a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer experience soon, then we have some bad news for you: The experience likely isn't going to release until at least 2022. Though it's already playable at CD Projekt Red, significant development time remains on the project and it's being developed separately from the main game. Despite this, it will be available for free to anyone who bought Cyberpunk 2077. Prior to Cyberpunk 2077's release, CD Projekt Red said that news on the multiplayer component would come in the first quarter of 2021. Given the problems the game has had since launch and the development timeline for other elements, such as post-launch DLC, this could also be the case for any announcements.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Hitman 2 PC Owners Can't Play Levels In Hitman 3 For Free

Hitman 3 is offering players the chance to play the entire "World of Assassination" trilogy within one game client, with levels from the first two games available for import. This content is free to those who bought the console games, but it's going to cost you if you plan to play on PC. In the game's official pre-launch guide, IO Interactive explained the game's Access Pass system, which is what will give you free access to previous Hitman games' content if you own them. On PlayStation and Xbox, this is possible by going into the in-game store for Hitman 2 and claiming the Access Pass, which also means you won't have to keep the disc in your system to use this content with Hitman 3. Because the PC version of Hitman 3 is only going to be available on the Epic Games Store at launch--a place Hitman 2 is not available--you cannot get the Access Pass for free. However, it will be available for 80% off during the first two weeks the game is available. The content from the 2016 Hitman is available to anyone who buys Hitman 3 on the Epic Games Store within the first 10 days. Anyone who redeemed the first game when it was free earlier on Epic Games Store will also get access to it in Hitman 3 for free on PC, even if it's past that window.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Huge Fallout: New Vegas The Frontier PC Mod Now Live

Huge Fallout: New Vegas The Frontier PC Mod Now Live

After toiling in development for over seven years, the self-proclaimed "largest modification ever released for Fallout: New Vegas" is now live on PC, and it adds a bevy of new content. Titled The Frontier, the community-created mod brings over 150 new weapons, three main quest lines (each totaling about 15 hours in length), and additional game mechanics such as driving, all set against the snowy backdrop of Portland, Oregon's ruins. The mod and all it's content is available for free for everyone who owns the base Fallout: New Vegas and its DLC. In addition to the three new quests, the creators of The Frontier said that the mod also packages The New California Republic mission. While it's unclear if this quest is part of the three new missions or an additional one (making four new quests total for Fallout: New Vegas), the developers did confirm that The New California Republic sits at about 35 hours long.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Don't Worry, Josef Fares Also Doesn't Understand Xbox Series X|S Naming Conventions

Two months after the Xbox Series X and Series S launched, Microsoft's naming conventions for this console generation are still confusing for those outside the know or unfamiliar with the industry. But even prominent developers have a hard time wrapping their heads around Microsoft's new Xbox names, and Hazelight Studios founder Josef Fares is one of them. In an interview with IGN discussing Fares' ambitions and Hazelight's games, Fares delivered some choice words about the Xbox Series X|S, calling the names a "total f**king mess." "That's a f**king confusing name," Fares said. "What the f**k's going on with Microsoft? They're losing it, man. What the f**k is going on? Like Series S, X, Mex, Next. I mean, who knows this? Come on. Madness. Call it the Microsoft Box and that's it. I don't know. It's a total f**king mess. Trust me, even them, they're confused in their offices. What is this X, S... I don't know, what the f**k."Continue Reading at GameSpot

WandaVision: Is There A Secret Hidden In This Unexpected Comic?

WandaVision: Is There A Secret Hidden In This Unexpected Comic?

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow and evolve, it gets harder and harder to find direct correlations between the shows and movies, and the comics that inspire them--and that's not necessarily a bad thing. One of the strongest and most interesting things the MCU has brought to the table over the last decade is its twists on comic book storylines that ought to be very old hat to certain fans. From the early days of Iron Man 3's surprise Mandarin fake-out to the completely unique take on the Civil War storyline, the MCU's tendency to remix source material shows absolutely no signs of going away or slowing down any time soon. This presents us with an interesting challenge for a show like WandaVision, however--not only is it the first Disney+ streaming MCU show and the first official entry into the much-delayed Phase 4, it's also the first of its kind in a purely narrative sense. Put simply, we have absolutely no idea what's going on here, why it's happening, how it's happening, or what it means for anything--even after the debut of the first two episodes, we've been left with more questions than ever and no answers for any of them. So, we're left to return to our tried and true roots: wild speculation and theories.Continue Reading at GameSpot

New Apex Legends Update Addresses Stability Issues, Patch Notes Detailed

Developer Respawn Entertainment has rolled out a new patch for Apex Legends on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S that stabilizes the game. The patch comes after numerous players reported errors while playing the game on all platforms. Specifically, players were getting caught in infinite loops that freeze the game or the game would crash entirely. Respawn said that while it couldn't replicate whatever's causing the hiccups, the new patch "improves stability and (hopefully) fixes the freezing issues." In addition to trying to address technical issues on the server side, the latest patch for Apex Legends fixes a variety of other problems. This includes issues with Fight Night event skins like Haute Drop and Gold Standard getting in the way of the reticle when aiming down sights, errors with selecting the Steam Friends list, and other problems related to clubs and text chat.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Biden's Inauguration Prompts Delay To Elder Scrolls Online: Oblivion Reveal

Bethesda had planned a big event for The Elder Scrolls Online for January 21 where it would announce more details on the new Gates of Oblivion expansion. However, the developer has now delayed the event to the following week to get out of the way of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. In a follow-up tweet, the developer said it's delaying the announcement event due to the recent US Capitol riots and out of an abundance of caution for what could happen on inauguration day. Joe Biden will be inaugurated as the 46th president of the United States on January 20 during a ceremony in Washington D.C. "Given recent events, we are opting to play it safe. We have players all over the world, but the majority of our employees live and work near the capital," the developer said.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Phasmophobia Adds Scary Feature That People Thought It Already Had

In an update about new additions to the beta version of the game, Phasmophobia developer Kinetic Games revealed that "the ghost will now listen for player voices when hunting." The biggest news for most Phasmophobia players, however, was that the game didn't already include this feature. In a subsequent reply, Kinetic confirmed that it was added to the game because "lots of people thought it was a feature" already. With the game already allowing for audio input for communicating both with other players and with the ghost, as well as antagonizing ghosts by calling out their name, it's no surprise players believed that mic input would also lead a ghost to their location. The bad news is, if the ghosts weren't using those clues before, they're about to get even more deadly on a hunt. Another small update is on the beta build with another new addition. #Phasmophobia pic.twitter.com/pfiegGP39x — Phasmophobia (@KineticGame) January 11, 2021 Kinetic have elaborated that the update will be "based on how loud your mic is," meaning players will still be able to safely whisper while being hunted. Another recent update also improved ghosts' hunting behaviors, allowing ghosts to remember a player's last known location and to search that area first.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Fast & Furious Star Vin Diesel On Han's Return And Heading To Space

The ninth Fast & Furious movie was one of the first films to be delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, and it still won't be with us until late May. We did however get to see the F9 trailer before the delay was announced, and it revealed that fan favorite character Han will be making his return to the series. Now star and producer Vin Diesel has spoken about Han's return and what fans can expect from the next movie. Han, played by Sung Kang, was seemingly killed off in 2006's Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift and shown again in Fast & Furious 6--which takes place before Tokyo Drift--leading to a fan campaign termed "Justice for Han." But as last year's F9 trailer revealed, he's very much alive. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Diesel explained that the character is a vital part of the series. "Han is an integral character in this franchise," he said. "If you remember, he's kind of responsible for the away years of [Diesel's character] Dom Toretto. He's the one doing jobs with him in Mexico, he's the only one who knows where Dom is, and in many ways is the bridge for Dom when Dom comes back in Tokyo Drift. So there's something very special and magical about the Han character. When you see the movie you'll feel it, but I believe at the core it's another testament to, not only don't turn your back on family, but don't give up on family."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Sean Bean Reveals What Went Through His Mind During Game Of Thrones Death Scene

While Sean Bean starring in the first season of Game of Thrones already feels like a million years ago, the actor has recently reminisced on his time in the series--including his shocking death scene. In an interview with EW promoting his new Apple TV+ film Wolfwalkers, Bean looked back on his final moments in Game of Thrones. The interview shows how much thought Sean Bean put into portraying Ned Stark, even in his final moments. "It was horror and disbelief--that Joffrey changed his mind--and then resignation and [realizing he was] seeing his daughter for the last time, Arya," Bean explained when asked what he was thinking during the scene. "I was trying to think of all four. It wasn't just, 'Oh God, I'm getting my head chopped off.' Those mix of feelings is what made it what it was, I suppose." While the scene may have felt sudden for viewers, the process of filming it took a whole day. "You have to just keep focused on the fact that you're about to meet your death without messing around," Bean said. "Everybody else's reactions were fantastic--Cersei and the kids. It was very moving with a lot of pathos in that scene. Then I put my head in the block and I was finished for the day."Continue Reading at GameSpot

League Of Legends Reveals First New Champion Of Six Planned For 2021

As 2021 kicks off in earnest, Riot Games has started to reveal its roadmap for League of Legends throughout the year. The plan for the 2021 season aims to add six new champions, the first of which has been revealed as jungler Viego the Ruined King. In a video laying out Riot's champion-related plans for 2021, Ryan "Reav3" Mireles said that new champions for the year will follow a similar plan to 2020's releases, with Riot planning to release one new character for every lane position throughout the year, and two for mid lane. "We believe that players shouldn't have to go longer than a year without getting a new champion to try in their role," Reav3 explained. While the video specifically mentions four confirmed champions tied to the Ruined King, 2021 will get six new character if Riot matches its 2020 champion output as promised.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Black PS5 Sale Canceled After Site Says It Received Threats To Safety

Last week, a custom black PS5 model went on sale via the store SUP3R5, promising a sleek and classic look for the PS5--which is currently only available in a white version. The systems went out of stock on the site almost immediately, but following what the site says were threats to its safety, orders are being refunded and the system is no longer being sold at all. According to VGC, a statement on the company's now-deleted Twitter account said the sale didn't go as planned, as players were charged without knowing if they had actually secured a system, and a later message said existing orders were canceled due to threats to the staff's safety. "Last night, our team began receiving credible threats to their safety," the store said in the statement. "We take these threats seriously. We aren't willing to risk the safety and well-being of our team, or the potential impact this would bring to delivering your order."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Killzone Website No Longer Available, Thanks Players For Their Support

Killzone developer Guerrilla Games had a smash hit with 2017's Horizon: Zero Dawn, and the sequel Horizon: Forbidden West is set to release later this year. However, it appears the Killzone franchise may have been a casualty of this success. The official Killzone website is no longer available, instead directing players to visit the main PlayStation site in its place. As spotted by VGC, the official Killzone site now only shows a notice page letting visitors know it has been "retired" and that it will soon forward them to PlayStation.com instead. You can no longer create or manage clans in the PS4 launch game Killzone: Shadow Fall, either, though you can still play online multiplayer in the game as normal. Barely ten days into 2021, the world remains more chaotic than ever. If you're looking for some way to escape the madness outside, then Bandai and Nintendo may have a solution for you: A massive Pokemon pillow that allows you to stick your head into the gaping maw of the ghostly Gengar. More than just a comfortable plushy portal to block out the outside world and possibly scream into, the Gengar cushion also allows you to unroll the Pokemon's trademark lengthy tongue out as a convenient blanket. At five feet and five inches in length, it looks to be a comfortable surface to lay on before you enter the sensory deprivation chamber that is Gengar's mouth. Good luck getting your hands on one of these pillows right now though. According to Pokemon merchandise-tracking website Pokeshopper, the Gengar cushion--which costs over $250--sold out after an hour of going live. It's also worth noting that in Pokemon lore, Gengar's mouth is capable of breaching the dimensional barriers between life and death.Continue Reading at GameSpot
