Cyberpunk 2077 Gets New Director To Lead Development On Expansions

Cyberpunk 2077 Gets New Director To Lead Development On Expansions

Polish developer CD Projekt Red has found a new game director in Gabriel Amatangelo after Adam Badowski moved into a different leadership position. Amatangelo now has the task of leading future Cyberpunk 2077 expansions. Amatangelo joined CDPR in January 2020 as the developer's creative director, according to LinkedIn. Previously, he served as creative director at other high-profile studios like EA, BioWare, and the now-defunct QC Games. This is the latest change in a company that's experiencing quite the internal shift following Cyberpunk 2077's tumultuous launch. This includes a massive 2.0 transition to alter how CDPR handles business, marketing, and growth. The pivot also includes plans for the studio to create a "caring" workplace environment while figuring out how to develop multiple games in tandem.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Call Of Duty Veterans Who Worked On Modern Warfare And Infinite Warfare Leave Infinity Ward

Two prominent Call of Duty developers from Infinity Ward have left the studio to pursue what they are calling a "rare and exciting new opportunity." Narrative director Taylor Kurosaki and design director Jacob Minkoff left Infinity Ward earlier this year, though the news is only just becoming public now. "It was an honor to be a part of the studio for the last 7 years and we're so proud of what we created together with Modern Warfare and Infinite Warfare. We wish the team nothing but the best," they said in a joint statement. The statement goes on to explain that Kurosaki and Minkoff are not yet able to announce their next gig, but they remarked that more details should come soon. The joint statement was attributed to both Kurosaki and Minkoff, so they are presumably sticking together for whatever they are working on next.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Lego Announces Largest Set Ever, With Over 11,000 Pieces

Lego is launching its largest set ever, the Lego World Map, on June 1. Reported by Wavy, the new mosaic set contains 11,695 pieces to create a massive Lego map to put up on your wall. The Lego World Map comes in at 26 inches high and 41 inches long, with white pieces to create the continents and colorful pieces for the ocean section. The map also features the option to adjust what continents are at the center of the map for anyone who wants to center their home country. Lego World Map Credit: Lego The Lego World Map takes the record for most pieces from the Coloeum set from December 2020, which contained 9036 pieces. The Lego World Map is listed at $250 USD on the Lego website (which is $300 cheaper than the Colosseum set) and includes a QR code that links to a custom playlist to listen to while building the map. It also includes a white frame and two hangers, so you can mount the map to the wall. Fiorella Groves, Creative Lead for Lego Art, said the set was meant to serve as something to help comfort those who have been unable to travel for the past year. “We know that our adult fans love to travel, but many haven't been able to do so for over a year now," Fiorella said. "We thought that there was no better way of helping explore the world while relaxing in the comfort of their home than by allowing them to build, rebuild, plan and reminisce through building."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Zack Snyder Reveals Who Could Have Played Batman If Ben Affleck Said No

Before Ben Affleck signed on to play Batman in Batman v Superman, director Zack Snyder had his eye on a different actor for the role. He said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he was looking at Belgian actor and director Matthias Schoenaerts for the part. "I was talking to him a lot about it," Snyder said (via The Hollywood Reporter). Schoenaerts has appeared in numerous films, including Red Sparrow and Netflix's The Old Guard in recent years. He never put on the Batsuit, but Snyder confirmed he created a "bunch of mock-ups" of what Schoenaerts would look like as Batman. This was all happening because Affleck hadn't yet made a decision, so Snyder was considering other options.Continue Reading at GameSpot

GameStop Is Officially Getting Into NFTs

GameStop Is Officially Getting Into NFTs

After GameStop raised over $500 million earlier this year by selling off some of its surprisingly valuable shares, it looks like the company has decided to invest some of that money back into a program involving NFTs. GameStop quietly launched the GameStop NFT homepage today, which prominently links to an Ethereum address, and also appears to involve a recruitment drive. The page doesn't include much information other than the Ethereum link, and GameStop doesn't appear to have prepared a media release about the launch either. The page is headlined "change the game," followed by a graphic reading: "Power to the players. Power to the creators. Power to the collectors." The rest of the website is devoted to recruitment, with a callout to "exceptional engineers (solidity, react, python), designers, gamers, marketers, and community leaders," to join the new NFT-focused team.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Here's Another Look At Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Button Controls

Here's Another Look At Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Button Controls

One of the biggest additions in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is a new control scheme that allows you to play the game with buttons instead of motion controls, and Nintendo has given us another brief look at this new control scheme in action. The official Japanese Legend of Zelda Twitter account shared a new video showcasing Skyward Sword HD's controls. The left side of the screen shows the different gestures you need to perform with the Joy-Cons to swing Link's sword, fire his bow, and pull off other actions in the game, while the right side shows how to perform those same actions on a Switch Lite using the game's new button controls. #SkywardSwordHD pic.twitter.com/2pEZqEmoIq — ゼルダの伝説 (@ZeldaOfficialJP) May 25, 2021 Given that they need to accommodate actions that were originally designed around motions, the button controls differ a bit from previous Zelda games. To slash with Link's sword, for instance, you need to move the right control stick in specific directions, and throwing a bomb is handled by pushing the right stick forward and releasing the ZR button. You can see the full clip in the tweet above.Continue Reading at GameSpot

An Early Zelda 64 Prototype Had Portals Throughout Hyrule Castle

Former Nintendo developer Giles Goddard is probably best known for his work on Star Fox, or for Super Mario 64's stretchy Mario face, but it turns out he had a hand in the earliest days of Zelda on the Nintendo 64 too. In a new interview with MinnMax, Goddard reveals that he worked on an early Zelda tech demo that had Link navigate Hyrule Castle through a series of portals. Goddard starts out talking about the Shoshinkai 1995 demo, a brief clip of Link fighting a metallic enemy, which he created to show off the potential for a 3D Zelda and the capabilities of the then-unreleased Nintendo 64 console. While this short demo was designed to be shown to the public, and has survived since then in a number of YouTube videos, Goddard went on to mention another demo that has never seen the light of day.Continue Reading at GameSpot

New Uncharted Movie Image Revealed As Sony Says God Of War Not Getting TV Show/Movie Yet

A new image from Sony's upcoming Uncharted film has been revealed, showing off a new look at Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Sully. It's also been confirmed that a God of War movie or TV show is not happening, at least not yet. In the image, Holland is shining a flashlight on something with a serious look on his face. Wahlberg stands behind him, also appearing with a look that he and Holland are seeing something important. They're standing inside of what might be a church. Presumably they are on the hunt for some kind of artifact. Spiral's Latest Weekend At The Box Office Made Saw A Billion-Dollar Film Franchise

The past weekend at the US box office was a quiet one with no major new releases, but it was notable for helping one film franchise achieve a new milestone. Spiral, the latest entry in the gory Saw series, had a firm second week in the number one spot and helped push the R-rated franchise past the $1 billion global box office milestone. Spiral earned $4.6 million in its second weekend in the US, with its combined worldwide box office receipts currently sitting at $22.5 million. In second place was the latest Jason Statham action film Wrath of Man, which saw $2.9 million in ticket sales from 3,007 theaters. The film has done remarkable business overseas though, having made $52.2 million internationally and currently has a global gross of $71 million. In terms of horror box office numbers, the Saw franchise ranks in fifth, way ahead of icons such as Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street. It'll still need a few extra sequels to catch up with the current king which has made over $1.9 billion at cinemas so far, The Conjuring frachise.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Charlie Bit My Finger Will Be Deleted From YouTube After NFT Sells For $760,000

The famous viral video Charlie Bit My Finger is being deleted from the internet as its owners sold the video as a non-fungible token (NFT) for more than $760,000. The user mememaster opened the bidding at $99,999, and after a series of increases, someone with the username 3fmusic paid $760,999 to purchase the video as an NFT. The video itself remains available on YouTube, but it's been unlisted. Presumably there is a holding period for now before it's deleted forever and always. How Payday Studio Starbreeze Turned Things Around

How Payday Studio Starbreeze Turned Things Around

Starbreeze Studios was in a perilous position several years ago, as it branched into publishing, acquired multiple studios, and planned to develop its own virtual reality headset resulted in company behind Payday spreading itself too thin. With Overkill's The Walking Dead proving to be a financially and critically disastrous game, accusations of insider trading that resulted in a police raid, Starbreeze was facing insolvency by the end of 2018. Since then, the company has dramatically reversed its fortunes thanks to a period of reconstruction that gave it the chance to pay off debts and refocus its efforts to once again become profitable. And it's largely thanks to Payday 2 that Starbreeze is on the road to recovery. "We have some awesome people who have been with the Payday IP throughout its lifecycle who are still with us, but it feels like a new company, a startup, and we're really keen on getting [back on top]," new CEO Tobias Sjögren said to GamesIndustry.Biz. "And when we look at how Payday 2 is performing and how many people play it on a daily basis, I think we're already there."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Happy Fourth Anniversary To The Start Of The Cursed Dark Universe

Happy Fourth Anniversary To The Start Of The Cursed Dark Universe

On May 22, 2017, amidst the hundreds or thousands of Twitter accounts that are created, one rose above all others. Simply called "#DarkUniverse," the account sent out two tweets, signifying the start of another shared movie universe that would end up consisting of one movie, Tom Cruise's The Mummy. At 10:03 AM PT / 1:03 PM ET, a tweet was unleashed onto the masses that simply said, "Welcome to a new world of gods and monsters." It featured a video consisting of clips from classic Universal Pictures movies like Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Phantom of the Opera, and Creature from the Black Lagoon. It also linked to the now defunct Darkuniverse.com, which currently brings you to the Universal Pictures site. However, what got most people talking was the second--and final--tweet from the Dark Universe account, which begged onlookers to witness the beginning of a new cinematic universe with its stars that would surely build a long-lasting franchise.Continue Reading at GameSpot

I Have A Metroid Prime Conspiracy Theory

I Have A Metroid Prime Conspiracy Theory

We've had very little in the way of Metroid news since Nintendo announced it had completely restarted the development of Metroid Prime 4 back in January 2019, but something in the company's last Nintendo Switch Online game update trailer causes me to believe that some kind of Metroid announcement is imminent. Like the best conspiracy theories, this one is premised on tiny, incidental details that likely have no significance at all. Still, I won't let little matters like logic put a damper on things, so join me as I dive down this rabbit hole and outline the (admittedly tenuous) reasons why I believe some Metroid news is coming soon. To put everything into proper context, we first need to go back to September 2018, when Nintendo launched its Switch Online service. One of the primary perks the service offers to subscribers is access to a library of classic NES games (which would be expanded to include SNES games as well starting in September 2019). If you look at this screen cap from the NES overview trailer, you'll notice that Nintendo's Switch profile icon in the upper left corner of the screen is Mario.Continue Reading at GameSpot

What's New On Netflix In June 2021? Sweet Tooth, Too Hot To Handle, And More

Netflix has plenty of movies, TV shows, and original content headed to its streaming service for June 2021. This includes classic movies you'll want to watch again, an adaptation of a beloved comic book, and a second season of a reality show where attractive people aren't allowed to have sex. Arriving on June 4 is the adaptation of Jeff Lemire's Vertigo--a DC imprint--series Sweet Tooth, and we got to see the first full trailer for it recently. The upcoming show follows a world where part-human, part-animals are born, and they are hunted by humans. One hybrid named Gus befriends an adult named Jepperd, and the two try to learn more about Gus's origins. The show looks interesting and unique, and you can check out the first trailer below. On June 23, one of the weirdest Netflix original series comes back for a second season. Too Hot to Handle is a show featuring a bunch of very attractive people on a beautiful island. And they can win a boatload of money, as long as they don't have sex with each other--or themselves. Yep, it's a show about abstinence--in the hopes these singles can make meaningful romantic connections without getting physical. Mostly, it's amusing to watch these people not to struggle to do things like "kiss someone you met 30 seconds ago."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Nvidia Is Throttling New RTX 3070/3080 Cards For Ethereum Cryptocurrency Mining

Nvidia has announced that new RTX 3080, RTX 3070, and RTX 3060 Ti cards will feature limits designed to curtail the cards' cryptocurrency mining potential. This move was previously reported by a variety of hardware-focused outlets, but this recent announcement is the first official word from the company that it will continue to include measures to nerf cryptocurrency mining on its high-end cards. In a blog post, the company confirmed that these cards will be labeled with an "LHR" identifier on the box to indicate that they have a "lite hash rate." Cards that were previously sold by Nvidia will not have their hash rate limited in the same way, which is likely to drive up the cost of such cards on the secondary market. Nvidia previously included a limiter on its RTX 3060 card, which launched back in February. The company then accidentally released a driver that bypassed the measures and boosted the card's hash rates. These LHR measures are part of a broader effort by Nvidia to de-incentivize crypto miners from snatching up their cards strictly for that purpose, which is a large driver of the ongoing GPU shortage affecting PC gamers, along with a pinched global supply of semiconductors. It remains to be seen if this effort will be effective. Nvidia announced back in February that it will release more stock of its older cards to help alleviate the shortage.

Ebay Is Banning The Sale Of Adult Video Games From July

Online auction site eBay will be implementing a ban on "adult" video games from July 15, as part of a wider initiative by the marketplace to prohibit the sale of mature content across as books, anime, comics, magazines, and art that contains "sexually oriented" materials. This ban won't just apply to old copies of Leisure Suit Larry: Magnum Cum Laude uncut PC edition, but all games with a "rating of X, XXX, R18, or unrated for an adults-only audience," eBay explained in a blog post. An adults-only rating is a rare restriction, usually reserved for video games that knowingly push the boundary of good taste, such as infamously violent titles like Hatred and Manhunt 2, which earned Adults Only classifications from the Entertainment Software Rating Board. More modern games with adult and violent content such as Mortal Kombat 11 and Red Dead Redemption 2 have instead received a Mature 17+ rating from the ESRB and will still be allowed on the US version of eBay.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Director and producer Naoki Yoshida led the presentation and detailed what's coming to patch 5.55 with regards to the new main story quests, the Save the Queen questline, the full PS5 version of the game, and much more. Lead story designer Natsuko Ishikawa also joined the presentation to discuss her work in creating FFXIV's narrative. Patch 5.55 is set to go live on May 25 and it'll be the last major update leading into the upcoming Endwalker expansion. Additionally, the PS5 version of the game will officially go into service on May 25--this updated version of the game went into live beta in April and has been playable ever since for owners of the PS4 version playing on PS5, so the official service date is more of a formality. FFXIV on the PS5 supports native 4K resolution, higher frame rates, a high resolution UI, DualSense haptic feedback, new trophies, and 3D audio support. There are also graphics options for 1440p resolution and better frame rate and 1080p for an even consistent frame rate. Owners of the PS4 version of the game can upgrade to the PS5 version for free. You can read about our experience and watch gameplay footage of the PS5 beta for FFXIV in our previous coverage.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Resident Evil Village Is Already On Sale At Amazon

Resident Evil Village only released last week, but if you're in the market for the game on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X, then Amazon has you covered. The Xbox version is currently on sale for $50, down from its standard $60 cost, and with Smart Delivery, your system will automatically install the best version it can run. See deal at Amazon The deal does not apply to the PS4 or PS5 versions of the game, which are both still $60 on Amazon. It's worth noting that if you are planning to get the game for PlayStation anyway, the PS4 version is actually the better purchase, as it includes a free digital upgrade to the PS5 version. The PS5 game sold on Amazon does not support the reverse, so you cannot use it on PS4. Continue Reading at GameSpot

Edge of Tomorrow Sequel Doesn't Seem Likely According to Emily Blunt

Edge of Tomorrow threw Tom Cruise into an action-packed time loop with Emily Blunt's formidable soldier Rita, and it resonated with fans. Rumors of a sequel have swirled for years since the 2014 film, but it may not be in the cards, Blunt said in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. A sequel was in full-on production in 2019 according to EW, but Blunt said that she doesn't know if a sequel could happen in light of current world conditions. It was far enough along, though, that she even read a script for it. "That was an amazing script," Blunt said. "But I just don't know what the future holds for it, I did read a script that was in really great shape, but it's just a matter of if that can even happen now. I don't have a straight answer on that one."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Netflix and US movie theater chain Cinemark have teamed up to bring Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead to cinemas across the US one week before the movie comes to Netflix. How does it do the week that it goes into Netflix? We're going to learn a lot," Zoradi said during the MoffettNathanson Media & Communications Summit, according to Deadline.A startling scene from Army of the Dead Zoradi said he's already feeling confident that there will be "several" additional releases from Netflix coming to theaters down the track.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - Everything Returning Players Should Know

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - Everything Returning Players Should Know

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition brings the first three games in the series together in one package, letting new players experience it for the first time with new visual enhancements. But if you're an experienced Spectre, you should know that playing the Legendary Edition won't feel exactly like you remember. BioWare has made some quality-of-life and balancing changes from the originals. If you're diving back in for your second trip through the galaxy (or third or fourth), read on for things you may need to know. For more about how the collection stacks up, be sure to read our Mass Effect: Legendary Edition review in progress. DLC Is Sprinkled Throughout In the original Mass Effect releases, DLC expansions were added post-launch as usual, so buying the extra stories would grant you immediate access to them. Sometimes there might be level restrictions, but in general, you wouldn't have to wait. The Legendary Edition includes almost all of the DLC across all three games from the start, but you can't just jump straight into the DLC. Instead, BioWare has spread out the DLC missions so that they'll appear more organically alongside regular missions. That makes it a single, unified experience, but it also means that you can't, for example, start up the Shadow Broker mission as soon as you start playing Mass Effect 2 (you can go recruit the two DLC squadmates, Zaeed and Kasumi).Continue Reading at GameSpot

Saw Movie Timeline: Get Ready For Spiral With A Full Story Recap

Saw Movie Timeline: Get Ready For Spiral With A Full Story Recap

The general rule of horror franchises is that, as the series continues, the plots get simpler and more repetitive, until the inevitable reboot which resets everything. Not so with the Saw series. What started in 2004 as a clever, gripping, but relatively modest thriller has, over the course of eight films, become a preposterously complicated narrative, with flashbacks, parallel subplots, recurring characters, twists, turns, and head-spinning callbacks. Spiral: From the Book of Saw is the ninth movie in the series, and it hits theaters this week. But it's been four years since the last movie, 2017's Jigsaw, which itself was preceded by a seven year gap since Saw 3D. So fans could be forgiven for not really remembering what the hell has happened so far. The only true way to make sense of what's going on is to sit through all of the previous movies--and handily, the first seven can be found on HBO Max, while Jigsaw is currently streaming on Peacock. But for those that don't have time, here's a recap of the essential elements of the story so far. The main problem of attempting to chronicle the plot of the entire series is that so much happens out of sequence. Every movie contains flashbacks to scenes at different points in the timeline, with a variety of important events occurring before the first movie. So let's go from the very start.Continue Reading at GameSpot

The Oregon Trail On Apple Arcade Addresses Native American Stereotypes

The Oregon Trail On Apple Arcade Addresses Native American Stereotypes

Oregon Trail has been a staple in the classroom for decades, and a new mobile version has updated the game's representation of Native Americans. Gameloft Brisbane, the team behind the new version of Oregon Trail that hit Apple Arcade in April, spoke to NPR about some of the changes made to bring the educational computer game up to more modern expectations of Native American representation. Creative director Jarrad Trudgen said the team wanted to weed out historical inaccuracies and other cliches about Native American culture. To do this, Trudgen brought in three indigenous historians to consult on various aspects of the game, including the music, naming conventions, speech patterns, and more. One aspect that was addressed in the game was the use of bows and arrows for Native peoples, which can carry stereotypes for being seen as primitive. While Trudgen wanted to use bows and arrows, University of Nebraska historian Margaret Huettl informed the Gameloft team that Indigenous Americans of the time would have also used modern tools--such as rifles and metals--for crafting and hunting.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse, And The Venture Bros Movies Are Coming

Adult Swim has greenlit and will be producing three new movies based on its original hit series Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse, and The Venture Bros. According to a release, the movies will be released globally on Blu-ray and DVD and on TVOD (transactional video on demand) services for a 90-day exclusive window, followed by premieres on HBO Max and Adult Swim. No release dates for any of the films have been announced. "Leveraging the power of WarnerMedia allows us to deliver original content to our amazingly dedicated and not-shy fans, while also giving our talented series creators an opportunity to tell stories in new and interesting ways," said Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim. The fact that each of these series is coming back in any form is both incredibly exciting and unexpected--but the biggest shock may go to The Venture Bros., which was canceled last September. The long-running series had Season 7 air in 2018, which unceremoniously ended a run that began with the pilot episode's release in 2003. It had been a couple more years since anything was last heard about either Aqua Teen Hunger Force or Metalocalypse, which were both canceled in 2015.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Nier: Automata Retexture Mod Is Finished, Four Years After Release

Nier: Automata Retexture Mod Is Finished, Four Years After Release

A popular Nier: Automata retexture mod is finally out. Modder GPUnity set out four years ago to fix and replace more than 300 textures in the PC version of Nier: Automata, and now the final version of the patch is out on NexusMods. "NieR: Automata is one of my favourite games," GPUnity wrote on Steam. "Unfortunately, it suffers from some blurry textures that hurt the presentation. My goal is to provide a natural restoration to the low-res textures, maintaining the intended look." As with many Nier: Automata mods, the texture pack requires the Fix Automata Resolution (FAR) mod to inject the new textures into the game. You can also use a program called Special K for the Windows Store version. The above video shows off the changes, and they're pretty substantial. The full version of the mod (which clocks in at over 1 GB) might cause more slowdown on low-spec PCs, so GPUnity also included a "lite" version of the mod that should help with that use case.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Gal Gadot Confirms Joss Whedon Threatened Her Career During Justice League Reshoots

Gal Gadot has commented on reports that director Joss Whedon threatened her career during Justice League reshoots in 2017. The Wonder Woman star confirmed the story on the Israel TV show N12 News. During the interview, N12 News reporter Yuna Leibzon asked Gadot about reports that her attempts to change the way Wonder Woman was portrayed in the film were blocked by Whedon. "He even said you should just be pretty and say your lines. You weren't going to let him get away with it," Leibzon said. Gadot then confirmed that this had happened, and that she dealt with it right away. "What I had with Joss basically is that he kind of threatened my career and said if I did something he would make my career miserable," she said. "I handled it on the spot." More details on the action-RPG Scarlet Nexus have begun to be revealed ahead of its launch next month, which includes gameplay mechanics that will give players a chance to forge bonds with their comrades. As originally reported by 4Gamer, deepening the relationship that players have with various members of their team creates more powerful allies in battle. Players can strengthen their bonds by giving gifts to their companions during their downtime, which will appear in their personal space inside of the gang's hideout. Another way to strengthen ties is to take on Character Episodes, which can be earned by engaging in conversations. By interacting with an individual character, the bond value will increase and once it reaches a certain threshold, the connection ability will increase and the teammate will support the player with new techniques when they're out in the field.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Resident Evil Village Eased Up On "Tension Curve" After Players Found RE7 Too Scary

Resident Evil Village Eased Up On "Tension Curve" After Players Found RE7 Too Scary

Resident Evil Village is a very scary game, and it builds on the return to the classic, slower-moving horror of Resident Evil 7 that was also a signature of the early games. However, Capcom took a slightly different approach to how it handled scares this time around, as it didn't want to overwhelm the player with terror like it sometimes did in Resident Evil 7. Speaking to Axios, producer Tsuyoshi Kanda said Capcom received Resident Evil 7 feedback and some players felt it was actually too scary. Scary is obviously the goal in horror, but not if it means players don't want to keep playing it for fear of an unexpected bowel movement. "In one regard, that's exactly what's we're striving for, so it's a huge compliment for us," he said. "But at the same time, it's always our goal to create something that anybody can feel comfortable jumping in and playing, so we eased up on the tension curve [in RE Village] relative to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, so players aren't in constant fear."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Resident Evil Village Can Apparently Run Without A Graphics Card On PC

It turns out that PC players building a new rig on a budget don't necessarily need a dedicated graphics card to run Resident Evil Village, according to PC Gamer. The game is optimized enough to be scaled back to compensate for weaker hardware. There is one caveat, though: players must drop Resident Evil Village's resolution to at least 1080p. PC Gamer notes that 720p offers far better performance results. When the game's resolution is taken down to 1080p on something like AMD's Ryzen 5 3400G CPU and GPU, frame rates averaged at 34 with lows of 27. Going to 720p, however, stabilizes performance to 54fps with lows of 43fps.Continue Reading at GameSpot
