To celebrate, Apple has released a promo featuring our favorite game testers, Rachel (Ashly Burch) and Dana (Imani Hakim), testing a variety of non-video-game objects. Rachel and Dana's storyline throughout Mythic Quest Season 1, during which an adorable romance between them began to blossom, was one of the show's highlights. Rocket League Season 3 Has An Auto Racing Theme, Adds NASCAR And F1-Themed Bundles

Developer Psyonix has revealed the next seasonal theme for Rocket League. Following the musical Season 2, Season 3 will be a celebration of auto racing. Keeping to the theme, Season 3 introduces a new auto racer battle car, the Tyranno. The Tyranno can be unlocked through Season 3's battle pass; it has a Dominus hitbox.Season 3's battle cars are all themed around auto racing, with the F1 and NASCAR contained in bundles and the Tyranno unlocked via the battle pass. Additionally, throughout Season 3, two new battle car bundles will become available in the shop. Valheim Hearth And Home Expansion: Release Date, Features, And Everything We Know

Valheim's first big content update will expand your options when building the ultimate Viking purgatory residence, adding new features and objects for developing your bases in the open-world survival game. Pierce Brosnan To Play Dr. Fate In The Rock's Black Adam Movie For DC

Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam movie continues to round out its cast, this time adding the legendary Pierce Brosnan to the fold as Dr. Fate, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Brosnan is only the most recent addition to the line up, which already includes Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. The Old Guard's Marwan Kenzari has also been cast in a mystery role. Brosnan will be playing Kent Nelson, the first of a long line of heroes to adopt the Dr. Fate name and mantle. The son of an archeologist, young Kent was accompanying his father on a dig when he mistakenly opened the tomb of an ancient sorcerer named Nabu the Wise. The incident killed his father but left Kent to be raised by Nabu himself, who tutored him in the ways of magic and eventually gave him his iconic helmet and cloak. Kent went on to act as one of the co-founders of the Justice Society of America. He's also, funnily enough, an actual medical doctor much like his Marvel cousin, Doctor Strange. Over time, the Dr. Fate mantle was passed on to numerous other magic users in DC comics, including the young Khalid Nassour, the most recent addition to the list, who some fans speculated may be the role Marwan Kenzari had been cast to fill. Halle Berry will star in the new Netflix spy-thriller Our Man From Jersey alongside Mark Wahlberg. There is no word yet on the character she will play, but Berry--an Oscar-winning actress--has appeared in spy films and action blockbusters before. Berry played Jinx in the James Bond film Die Another Day, while she's also known for her roles in John Wick: Chapter 3 and the X-Men series. She is also set to appear in the end-of-the-world movie Moonfall later this year. Silicon Valley's Thomas Middleditch Accused Of Sexual Misconduct - Report

Comic actor and screenwriter Thomas Middleditch, best known for his role as Richard Hendricks in the HBO series Silicon Valley, has been accused of sexual misconduct in allegations stemming from a now-closed Hollywood club, according to The Los Angeles Times. In the recently published article, roughly 10 women so far--including four former staffers--at the now-shuttered, members-only Cloak & Dagger club say the business' co-founders turned a blind eye to a pattern of sexual misconduct by patrons, including Middleditch. In the report, former Cloak & Dagger member Hannah Harding detailed an experience with Middleditch that occurred on October 22, 2019, saying he approached her on the dance floor and made "lewd sexual overtures" toward her and her girlfriend. After she turned him down, he allegedly "kept pursuing her, groping her in front of her friends and several employees, including the club's operations manager, Kate Morgan." Harding also shared Instagram messages from Middleditch, expressing regret and shame for his actions. Morgan told The Los Angeles Times that she asked her bosses, Adam Bravin and Michael Patterson, to eject Middleditch from the premises and revoke his membership, but they "dismissed it." Additional sources quoted by Bloomberg say that Microsoft is one of the companies involved in talks to acquire Discord--though it's still possible that Discord will go public rather than agree to a sale to a larger company. Programmer Gives NES Tetris Game "Hard Drop" After Three Decades

One the most recognizable versions of Tetris can be found on the original NES, but it lacks some of the features we now consider standard for the puzzle game. One of the biggest omissions is “hard drop,” which lets you save precious time by instantly slamming a piece into position without waiting for it to fall, and programmer Stephen Sherratt took it upon himself to get the feature working in the classic NES version, complete with a "ghost" piece for guidance. As he explained on his website Grid Bugs, Sherratt decided to add two related features to the NES Tetris game. The first is the hard drop itself, accomplished by pressing up on the directional pad like it’s done in most other Tetris games. The second modification he made added an outline of the currently controlled piece to wherever it was set to land, making the hard drop more accurate. Again, this is a feature seen in pretty much all modern Tetris games such as Tetris 99 and Tetris Effect. In the challenge video below, one player even hard dropped every single piece he got in Tetris 99. Sherratt made use of a program using the Rust programming language and, combined with his own NES emulator, it made it easier for him to experiment with changes. Nier: Automata Gets Steam Review-Bombed Over Better Xbox Game Pass For PC Version

Nier: Automata has been available on Steam for more than four years, but the game's recent inclusion on Xbox Game Pass for PC has drawn controversy--because it appears to be a far superior version compared to the Steam release. Steam customers aren't too happy about this, and they've taken to review-bombing the Steam page in frustration. Though Nier: Automata's total review average still sits at "very positive" on Steam, recent reviews have been much more negative. They call out the poor quality of the PC port that has been available on Steam--players have even created their own modes to simply fix it--when a much better version was released on Game Pass for PC. Some of the players advocate for newcomers to just get it from the Microsoft Store, while others are pushing for Square Enix to release the same fixes on Steam. What were those fixes? Port developer QLOC said the Xbox Game Pass for PC version includes HDR support, 4K UI textures, FidelityFX, and borderless video settings. According to Eurogamer, the last of those fixes addresses a resolution issue that had been affecting the PC version since launch. A mod released shortly after the game's initial launch called "Fix Automata Resolution" addressed that resolution issue as well as stuttering during cutscenes. Fall Guys Squads Mode Will Help Weak Links Stay In The Game

Fall Guys is adding more than just new costumes and stages for the start of Season 4; it's also introducing Squads mode, and the new team-based option will let even the clumsiest players stay in the game if their teammates are able to keep it together. Speaking to IGN, lead game designer Joe Walsh (far cooler than the Eagles lead guitarist), said that if one player is eliminated during a round, they'll still be able to come back if their teammates perform well enough. It isn't necessarily about just dying first, but scoring the lowest as a team. A points system will determine who did the worst, which should also make it so being simply the best player doesn't necessarily mean your team will be the best. You'll also be more encouraged to sabotage other players, especially if you have more people left as you're approaching the finish in a Final Round. Call Of Duty Drops R1 Shadowhunter After Accidental Release, Refunds Being Issued

The R1 Shadowhunter weapon released a few days ago in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, but this was accidental. Now, Activision has removed the weapon from both games and it's issuing refunds to those who grabbed it during this brief period. Activision shared the news on its official support Twitter page, saying the bundle that included the weapon will be returned to the store at "a later date," along with an associated challenge. Just when this will be isn't clear, so it's possible the weapon went online well before it was supposed to. An issue with the R1 Shadowhunter weapon appearing earlier than planned in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War has been resolved. Refunds are planned for players who purchased the bundle while it was live in the Store, and the bundle and in-game challenge will return at a later date. — Activision Support (@ATVIAssist) March 18, 2021 Prior to it being removed, the weapon was available for stealth-minded players. It fired silent crossbow bolts, letting you take out targets without alerting others in the area. This would be especially useful in Warzone, where alerting others to your position is often the difference between life and death. Getting the weapon in Cold War, at least during the initial accidental release, was possible by getting a series of the One Shot, One Kill in 15 games, so players who have been playing for months will likely be able to get it fairly quickly when it comes back. Outriders Demo Updated Again To Address Inventory Wipe Glitch

Developer People Can Fly has released an Outriders update addressing a glitch that wipes players' inventories. The patch is now live on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Publisher Square Enix said the issue should be prevented going forward. Those affected between March 16-19 (and after) are told to reply to this Reddit thread or this Twitter post; the studio may reach out to further resolve any problems. Square said that any players whose inventory has been wiped due to the glitch will see their items restored soon. An exact date for inventory restoration is still to be determined, but the publisher hopes to have the issue ironed out in time for Outriders' April 1 launch. Hood: Outlaws and Legends continues to give us new peeks into its dark re-imagining of the classic Robin Hood story, with its newest character trailer revealing The Brawler. Where previous trailers have shown characters more suited to ranged or stealthy play, The Brawler is for players who want to get up in their enemies' faces. As shown in the trailer, the Brawler is a tanky melee-favoring character designed to draw attention and deal a lot of damage. His special attack has him go into a berserker-style mode that increases durability and grants him infinite stamina. He also has the ability to lift locked portcullises, creating a path for teammates to escape. Other characters revealed so far include the stealthy Hunter and the bow-wielding Ranger. Hood is a 4v4 heist game that sees two teams face off to try and steal riches from an oppressive government. In light of these events, it's important to know how you can get involved. Super Nintendo World has officially opened to the public at Universal Studios Japan, letting guests be fully immersed in the world of Mario, Yoshi, and other classic Nintendo characters. The featured attraction in the new theme park expansion, which is also coming to Universal's parks in Florida and California, is a Mario Kart ride. That particular attraction also happens to house the land's best Easter egg, an autograph from the creator of Super Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto. "Divot Derby," as it's called, invites up to 20 players to take part in a single-elimination knockout style tournament where playing fast and accurately is the most important thing. Genshin Impact's Update 1.4 has arrived, bringing with it new quests and events, and the return of fan-favorite limited character Venti. While a lot of the update's new content has yet to go live, such as the upcoming Windblume Festival event, Venti's Ballad in Goblets banner is live now. While the banner name, Ballad in Goblets, is the same as the original Venti banner that launched with the game last October, the rate-up 4-star characters featured alongside Venti have changed. The new banner will give players increased chances to pull 4-stars Sucrose, Razor, and Noelle. This update marks the first time one of Genshin Impact's characters has been re-run. As Venti was the first banner launched when the game came out, this re-run will let players catch up if they started playing after Venti's initial banner had already finished. Just a few weeks after its launch, Nvidia's RTX 3060 has had its Ethereum blocking measures circumvented by a beta driver the company issued itself to users. The latest 470.05 driver for Nvidia GPUs has lifted the restriction on Ethereum mining on the company's latest card, which was marketed as the first in the RTX line to feature silicon-level restrictions for mining. Various outlets have now confirmed that the driver overcomes this without any additional tweaks, with ComputerBase, HardwareLuxx, and PC Watch all confirming hash rates well over double previous rates before the driver update. World Of Warcraft's First Player-Chosen Mount Is Available Now

In September last year, Blizzard asked World of Warcraft players to vote on a new mount that would be gifted for free to all players with Shadowlands active on their accounts. Players overwhelmingly voted for the Wandering Ancient--a big old walking tree you can ride on top of--and now it's available in-game for eligible players. Players were tasked with choosing between five unique options: the Wandering Ancient, Soaring Spelltome, Nerubian Swarmer, Curious Caterpillar, and Gooey Slimesaber. The options were listed with a brief description but without any visual aids, meaning players had to imagine the potential of each would-be mount. The Wandering Ancient overwhelmingly came out on top, and the Blizzard team got to work bringing it to life, creating a walking tree mount that marks the first rideable Ancient in WoW. Once the purchase is final Microsoft's in-house studio tally will jump up to 23, with studios such as Arkane Studios (Prey, Deathloop), iD Software (Doom), MachineGames (Wolfenstein), Bethesda Game Studios (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim), Tango Gameworks (Ghostwire: Tokyo), and more joining the fold. As part of the new arrangement, Bethesda's future games will release on Xbox Game Pass for no extra charge the same day they launch elsewhere. Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy Spotted For Xbox

Players who haven't yet experienced the rebooted Tomb Raider trilogy will apparently be getting a new option very soon. Listed before being taken offline, the Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy will bundle all three games together in one package. According to the Microsoft Store listing, which now gives you an error message, the bundle will be out on March 18. It contains Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. All three games are also already available on PS4 and PC, though Rise of the Tomb Raider was initially not released on PlayStation, with Microsoft publishing the game and holding console exclusivity for nearly a year. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's Final Story DLC Is Trunks: The Warrior Of Hope

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's final DLC has been revealed, and after two episodes dedicated to storylines from the Dragon Ball Super anime series, this latest chapter of content is headed back in time to one of the franchise's classic original video animations. DLC 3 will take place in the future alternate timeline of the Android saga, set 13 years after Goku died from a heart virus and the rest of the anime's best fighters--and Yamcha--were killed by Androids 17 and 18. Only Gohan had survived the carnage, and along with Vegeta's son Trunks, he was preparing to finally destroy the Androids and end the devastation brought about by the duo. The cinematic trailer didn't reveal too much, but if it faithfully follows the storyline of the OVA, then it's best to not get too attached to seeing an adult Gohan battling the Androids while his protégé Trunks watches on.
