Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Launch Trailer Shows Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Launch Trailer Shows Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

Something is clearly wrong with Superman, Batman, and friends in the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launch trailer. The weird purple eyes give it away. But don't worry, because Task Force X is "out on good behavior" to save the day in the co-op game, which is set to release February 2.

The new video for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League--seen below--shows Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark facing off against the iconic DC superheroes. At one point, The Flash asks the group whether they actually "think they can stop us." Captain Boomerang clearly believes they can, as he's shown shooting at the Scarlet Speedster afterward in the launch trailer.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be the first game from developer Rocksteady since Batman: Arkham VR in 2016 and Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. The upcoming title was delayed to this year back in April 2023. At one point, Suicide Squad was even planned to release in 2022 before getting pushed back.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Breaking Bad Spinoff About Gus Fring Could Be "Very Interesting," Giancarlo Esposito Says

Giancarlo Esposito, who played Gus Fring on Breaking Bad and the prequel series Better Call Saul, has said he wants to pitch a show called "The Rise of Gus." This would be a prequel series that reveals more of the drug kingpin's past, he told Variety recently.

"I think eventually there should be, and there might be" a spinoff focused on Fring, Esposito said. "I have a lot of premises I like to push. If I was talking to Vince Gilligan right now, I would tell him, 'The Rise of Gus.'"

Gilligan is currently making a sci-fi show for Apple, and Esposito said he understands Gilligan is busy with this project for the time being. But later on, Esposito said he hopes Gilligan circles back with Esposito and agrees to make another Breaking Bad show.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Rumored Halo Battle Royale Project Seemingly Canceled

A Halo battle royale game has been rumored for a while, and now it has been seemingly canceled, despite having never been officially revealed.

On the XboxEra podcast, insider Shpeshal_Nick was discussing insider and YouTuber Colt Eastwood's claims that the Halo battle royal game was canceled. Nick and his fellow co-host Jon Clarke say they have independently corroborated those claims.

The rumored game was known as Project Tatanka and it seemed like developer Certain Affinity was handling it. Back in 2022, the studio said that 343 Industries entrusted it with further evolving Halo Infinite. Last year, it was reported that Certain Affinity's game started out as a battle royale but has since shifted "in different directions."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Frostpunk 2 Will Be A Day-One Game Pass Launch Later This Year

Developer 11 Bit Studios has debuted a new gameplay trailer for Frostpunk 2, a sequel set decades after the 2018 city-building game, and has also confirmed that it'll be available day-one through Game Pass. Like the first Frostpunk, Frostpunk 2 is a real-time strategy game set in the middle of a new ice age that has enveloped the globe, wiping out most of humanity save for one metropolis built around a gigantic furnace. 30 years have passed, the last remnants of humanity have survived, and the only real problem is a growing populace testing your administrative abilities.

As the Steward, it'll be up to you to manage the wants and needs of the people, expand the city, and keep the fires burning. The only problem? You can't always please everyone, and some hard choices will need to be made while you prepare yourself to deal with the consequences, like the emergence of new radical factions who'll challenge your authority.

Some of the other new features being introduced in Frostpunk 2 include options to create new districts with different purposes, the introduction of a Council to help manage emerging crises, and an emphasis on diplomacy as you try to keep the more ambitious elements of the city in check.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Ubisoft Wants You To Become More Comfortable With Not Owning Your Games

Ubisoft Wants You To Become More Comfortable With Not Owning Your Games

Ubisoft has described its vision for the future of its rebranded subscription service Ubisoft+ and how it expects to grow it if it can convince consumers to change their mindset toward playing video games. Like movies and music available on streaming services, Ubisoft wants its subscribers to become more comfortable with not owning their games outright.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.Biz, director of subscriptions at Ubisoft Philippe Tremblay explained that getting users to become more comfortable with not owning games was just one of the business paths Ubisoft was pursuing, in addition to more traditional models of ownership.

"The point is not to force users to go down one route or another,” Tremblay said. "We offer purchase, we offer subscription, and it's the gamer's preference that is important here. We are seeing some people who choosing to subscribe now, but it all works. One of the things we saw is that gamers are used to, a little bit like DVD, having and owning their games. That’s the consumer shift that needs to happen. They got comfortable not owning their CD collection or DVD collection. That's a transformation that's been a bit slower to happen [in games]."Continue Reading at GameSpot

This "Sharks On A Plane" Movie Looks Terrifying

This "Sharks On A Plane" Movie Looks Terrifying

You've heard of Snakes on a Plane, but what about Sharks on a Plane? That's sort of the vibe of the new thriller No Way Up, which tells the story of a flight gone horribly wrong and passengers fighting for their lives at the bottom of the ocean against sharks.

A plane crashes into the ocean and the jetliner sinks. The people who survive the initial crash are miraculously saved by way of an air pocket. But the survivors have another threat to deal with: sharks. The crash left a huge hole in the plane that sharks can easily swim through--and they're hungry.

Not only that, but the plane is resting very close to the edge of a "bottomless ravine" in the ocean, and it keeps slipping. The passengers are faced with sharks, a dwindling air supply, and the plane sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Not good! Take a look at the trailer below. Note that it contains shocking sequences of the plane getting torn apart in mid-air, with a door flying off and people getting sucked out of the craft.Continue Reading at GameSpot

We Might Already Know The Name Of MachineGames' Indiana Jones Game

Fans may have discovered the title for MachineGames' currently untitled Indiana Jones game. If a registered domain name is any hint, it could be called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

On Twitter, user Kurakasis found that Lucasfilm had been registering several domains on January 9, and one of them is indianajonesandthegreatcirclegame.com. The fact that the website URL contains the word "game" at the end certainly makes it seem that it could be the title.

Kurakasis also said that a trademark was filed in Europe two years ago for "The Great Circle" with goods and services for video games. Additionally, while the trademark included mobile, this could also mean that the Indiana Jones game can be streamed on mobile, most notably through Xbox Cloud Gaming.Continue Reading at GameSpot

SAG-AFTRA Releases Full Terms Of AI Voice Agreement After Backlash From Members

Yesterday, performer's union SAG-AFTRA announced a deal with AI voice studio Replica Studios that would allow game developers to use AI-generated voices on union projects. The announcement was met with outcry from many of the industry's most prolific voice actors, who claim they were blindsided by the agreement.

Today, the union and Replica have both revealed more details about the agreement, including releasing the full text of the contract itself, complete with compensation requirements and details around consent and protections required for using AI voices.

While SAG-AFTRA's initial press release stated that the agreement was approved by "affected members of the union’s voiceover performer community," an FAQ released today clarifies that the bargaining was done by the union's Interactive Media Negotiating Committee in a process that has been "years in the making." SAG-AFTRA also explains that this contract was not required to be sent out to members for a referendum as it "only sets terms for a single company." Per the terms of its constitution, this kind of contract can be approved by the executive committee.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Where Is The Secret Cave In Fortnite? - Location Revealed

Where Is The Secret Cave In Fortnite? - Location Revealed

There exist rumors of a secret cave in Fortnite that houses large quantities of loot off the beaten path, providing players with both privacy and an abundance of loot chests to open quickly, more tightly arranged than perhaps anywhere else on the island. These kinds of riches are the sort of thing that could give you a huge leg up on the competition--if you get there first. And guess what? The rumors are true. The Fortnite loot cave is real in Chapter 5 Season 1, and we're going to show you how to find it.

Fortnite secret cave location

The secret cave can be found in Chapter 5 Season 1 of Fortnite along the eastern coast of the island, at the foot of a mountain that is southeast of Grand Glacier. In it, you'll find several loot chests tucked away as you trek deeper into the cave's structure. In total, you'll find approximately eight chests--this may be subject to change based on how loot spawns somewhat differently in each round, as well as floor loot. Below we've marked where you can find the loot cave on the map.

The nice thing about this loot cave is that it's near some of the game's other best drops, including the lip of the tallest mountain which contains three loot chests, a safe, and multiple barrels filled with Chug Splash and Slurp Splash. Just down the zipline from there is a campsite with the game's only NPC who can ping enemies for you when you hire him. And just down the slope from him is a small shack that remarkably houses 11 Chug Splash barrels and a chest.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Saltburn's Barry Keoghan Could Have Died From Flesh-Eating Disease

Actor Barry Keoghan has revealed he could have died after suffering from a case of necrotizing fasciitis, which medical experts say is fatal in one of five people who contract it.

Speaking to GQ, Keoghan revealed he caught the disease shortly before filming The Banshees of Inisherin. Doctors told him he might have to amputate his arm, and he believes he could have died. Director Martin McDonagh recalled meeting with Keoghan as he was recovering.

"I'm not sure if he was on a lot of meds, but he seemed to shrug it off," McDonagh said. "We were only about four days out from shooting, and his arm was puffed up. But he was like, 'Yeah, no, I'm going to be fine--I'll see you on Tuesday.' I went to the hospital thinking, Sh**--is he going to die? Let alone, is he going to make the movie. But I came out of there energized and looking forward to it."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Samsung Reveals 3D Monitor That Can Play VR Games Without A Headset

Samsung has revealed a new monitor in development with the working title Samsung 2D/3D Gaming Monitor, which boasts a 3D mode that doesn't require glasses. The monitor also has the ability to play VR games without a headset, with Samsung stating it's compatible with existing VR games and experiences.

The monitor is still in development, but Samsung took the opportunity to show off the new technology at its First Look event ahead of CES in Las Vegas this weekend. Built into the monitor are two cameras to track eye and head movement, which in 3D mode are used to optimize 3D effects. The 3D mode can also be used to enhance other content, and the monitor features a specialized UI for browsing in 3D.

The monitor's eye tracking technology also lends itself to playing VR games without requiring a dedicated VR headset, with the monitor able to handle "existing VR games, experiences, and content." Samsung says the monitor is compatible with Steam VR, and that it's in the process of securing partnerships for 3D gaming content from as-yet unnamed "notable gaming publishers."Continue Reading at GameSpot

After receiving three nominations, HBO's The Last of Us failed to win any awards at The Golden Globes over the weekend. The critically acclaimed show came up short in all of its categories to Succession.

The Last of Us was nominated for best TV series (drama), best performance by a male actor in a TV drama (Pedro Pascal), and best performance by a female actor in a TV drama (Bella Ramsey). The Hollywood Reporter notes Succession ended up winning best drama TV series, with the show's Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook beating out Pascal and Ramsey, respectively. In fact, Variety posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Culkin playfully told Pascal to "suck it."

However, The Last of Us did fare better at the Creative Arts Emmys. The show based on the PlayStation video game franchise brought home eight awards. Actor Nick Offerman (who played Bill) won for outstanding guest actor in a drama series, while Storm Reid (who played Riley) nabbed the award for outstanding guest actress in a drama series.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Apple Vision Pro Launches This February, Preorders Available Starting January

Apple has officially confirmed that its pricy Vision Pro headset will launch in the US on February 2, with preorders opening on January 19. Compared to other virtual reality headsets on the market, the Vision Pro is a much more expensive alternative with an MSRP of $3,499, a price tag equivalent to purchasing seven Meta Quest 3 128GB headsets. Or around five of the 512GB models, leaving you just enough cash to cater for a fun VR party.Apple Vision Pro

Internally, the Vision Pro has two Apple chips--an M2 Ultra and an R1 chip--as well as sensors, cameras, and a 4K display for each eye. The other big difference with this headset when compared to other models is that it offers both virtual and augmented reality experiences when you toggle the side-mounted switch.

You won't need to use a controller to navigate through apps, as voice and gesture commands are also supported. There's also a neat external display called EyeSight that produces a render of your eyes so that you won't have to remove the headset when you talk to non-VR people.Continue Reading at GameSpot

More Xbox Games Could Be Releasing On Rival Platforms - Report

More of Microsoft's exclusive games are reportedly coming to other platforms, according to several rumors and reports.

Microsoft has been eying the possibility of expanding the reach of some of its first-party games. "Microsoft has been exploring bringing some of its back catalog to other platforms, although some of the details remain vague and unconfirmed," reported Windows Central.

Other sources, such as insider "Nate the Hate" and Resetera user lolilolailo, pinned Hi-Fi Rush as the most likely game to be coming to other platforms. Back in November 2023, Xbox CFO Tim Stuart said that Microsoft wants to make Xbox Game Pass and its first party games available on "every screen that plays games," and this also includes Nintendo and PlayStation.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Wizards of the Coast, the company behind the Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering series, has confirmed that artificial intelligence was indeed used to create a marketing image after initially denying that was the case.

In a post on social media, Wizards of the Coast said, "We made a mistake earlier when we said that a marketing image we posted was not created using AI."

The company pointed out how Adobe's popular editing software Photoshop now features a "generative AI" option that allows users to enhance and refine their creations. YouTuber Builds A Nintendo PlayStation, Saves $300,000

If you're a PlayStation fan, you can thank Nintendo for its decision to ditch Sony and partner up with Phillips for its first CD-based console, ultimately leading to the greatest revenge flex of all time when Sony entered the gaming market with the PlayStation console. But before Nintendo's great betrayal, a prototype of a Sony-powered SNES console did exist. If you had enough cash, that device could have been yours for a little over $300,000.

That price tag might be a tad too high for most people, and fortunately, there is a more affordable alternative as demonstrated by YouTuber James Channel. All you need are old SNES and PlayStation consoles, knowledge on how to safely work with electricity, and a lot of hot glue to create your very own Nintendo-branded Sony CD-ROM console. A word of warning: If you're squeamish when it comes to seeing vintage console technology cut apart and Frankensteined into a hybrid device, you might want to look away before you click on the video below.

As demonstrated above, there are a few challenges to consider before you jam the internal hardware of a PlayStation into an SNES shell. A lot of superfluous material needs to be hacked off, but if you persevere and don't run out of hot glue, you too can put together your very own Nintendo PlayStation.Continue Reading at GameSpot

The Last Of Us Prequel Show About Frank And Bill Pitched To HBO, Nick Offerman Says

Nick Offerman, who appeared in HBO's The Last of Us and won his first Emmy on Sunday evening for his portrayal of Bill, has revealed that a prequel series about the post-apocalypse lovers Bill and Frank has been pitched. Offerman told Deadline that the team is "not short on ideas" for a prequel series about the lives of Bill and Frank before they met, fell in love, and died together.

"I would have to ask somebody with a higher pay grade than myself," he said. "It certainly has been pitched. I think we pitched a whole mini-series of a prequel of their lives before they met each other. It could be a musical. We're not short on ideas. We'll just we'll see what Craig [Mazin] and Neil [Druckmann] come up with."

Offerman won the Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Bill, marking Offerman's first Emmy award. Offerman was not even supposed to be in The Last of Us, as the role of Bill was originally given to Con O'Neill before he had to drop out due to scheduling issues.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Superman Legacy Director James Gunn Reveals When The Trailer Is Coming, And It's Not Soon

DC Studios boss James Gunn has confirmed that Superman Legacy won't get a trailer anytime soon, and for good reason. The superhero movie doesn't even begin filming until March. There won't be a trailer for the movie until 2025, Gunn said on social media recently.

In a post on Threads, Gunn--who is writing and directing the movie--responded to a fan asking about when a trailer might drop. Asked if there would be a trailer in 2024, he said, "No."

"We don't begin filming until March. Writing is basically done and has been for a while, other than a comma here, a comma there," Gunn said.Continue Reading at GameSpot

A Parent's Guide To Lego Fortnite: How To Play And Set Up Parental Controls

A Parent's Guide To Lego Fortnite: How To Play And Set Up Parental Controls

Lego Fortnite became an instant hit when it launched in December 2023, as the free-to-play game combines two massive brands into one experience that rivals the likes of Minecraft and other family-friendly survival-crafting games. Lego Fortnite also benefits from Epic's spread of parental control features aimed toward parents who may be wary of letting their kids loose in a new game without setting and understanding their limitations. With this guide, we'll walk parents through how to download and play Lego Fortnite, as well as what kind of parental controls you may want to set up once you get going.

What is Lego Fortnite?

A completely free game, Lego Fortnite is a survival-crafting game much like Minecraft and played exclusively within Fortnite. Players can play alone or join up to seven others to explore a world, build houses and other items, defeat AI enemies such as skeletons and wolves, and invite AI allies into their villages who will then help improve the space. The endgame varies from player to player, with some seeking to beautify their island, while others may want to go on adventures for loot, build vehicles, or just hang out with friends.

Each saved game in Lego Fortnite uses a unique island that is semi-randomly generated, meaning no two worlds are exactly the same. Players can play in survival mode, which may account for things like resource scarcity, temperature, hunger, and player health, or they can create a world in sandbox mode, which removes these elements and simply lets players build to their heart's content. Even in survival mode, those aforementioned features can be toggled on or off individually, giving each player some freedom in how they set up their world.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Huge Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Spoilers Are Online, So It's Time To Mute Some Words

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's closed technical alpha recently wrapped, and while access to the game was granted on the condition that a non-disclosure agreement was signed, that hasn't stopped some people from posting big spoilers online. The upcoming open-world game pits the Suicide Squad against a Justice League that has been brainwashed by Superman foe Brainiac, and some key moments in the game's campaign have been leaked. This isn't the first time that this happened, as over 30 minutes of footage was uploaded a few weeks ago.

While we won't spoil anything here, you're going to want to mute as much of the game as possible from your social feeds and YouTube. Block every mention of the game, its world, every character, and even the Arkhamverse if you want to be safe from significant spoilers, as these plot beats are already being dissected online. Rocksteady's games have had some of the best plot twists and surprises over the years, and the studio isn't pulling any punches with its Suicide Squad game.

YouTube is particularly bad with spoilers, as these videos can easily appear in your recommended timeline as part of that site's algorithm. While no single method is foolproof for avoiding these, you can clear your YouTube watch history, specify the type of content that you don't want to see by clicking the three dots next to uploaded videos, and use a browser extension like Spoiler Protection 2.0 if you're alright with it accessing your personal browsing data.Continue Reading at GameSpot

You Can Finally Watch Luigi In Action In Super Mario 64, Sort Of

A video uploaded to a small Japanese YouTube account last month has become an important part of video game history. A seconds-long section of the video appears to show the first-ever known footage of Luigi in Super Mario 64.

The 13:20 mark of the video--which was uploaded to the Now In Game Channel account on November 22--shows a brief look at a few monitors at Nintendo's booth from the 1995 Space World convention in Japan. One of the monitors flashes to a room with checkerboard flooring, while a tall figure in a green shirt, green hat, and overall performs the SM64 spin jump and floats to the ground.

We finally have a glimpse of what the early multiplayer mode for Super Mario 64 looked like! This is also the first time we have seen Luigi's SM64 model outside of the Nintendo Leaks! Take a look! pic.twitter.com/Ev3R7NDBtp — Marionova (@Marionova64) December 15, 2023

Per VGC, the footage matches a 1996 interview with Nintendo head Shigeru Miyamoto in an official Japanese strategy guide which mentions Luigi as an intended second playable character. In the interview, Miyamoto describes an area which closely resembles the stage seen on the monitor--specifically the "room made of simple Lego-like blocks" where the two plumbers could "run around in there, climb slopes, jump around," and more.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Bill Murray Returns To New Ghostbusters To Help The New Generation

Ghostbusters: Afterlife revived the original Ivan Reitman film continuity with Egon Spengler's (the late Harold Ramis) grandchildren taking over the proton packs and becoming the next generation of 'busters--with some adult supervision by Mr. Grooberson (Paul Rudd).

While Jason Reitman directed Afterlife, he's handing the reins to Gil Kenan (who wrote Afterlife and the upcoming sequel Frozen Empire with Reitman) and now begins the new chapter in Ghostbusters stories.

Talking with Empire Magazine, Kenan talked about bringing the new Ghostbusters into a post-Gozerian world, and confirmed that Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Bill Murray will return once again as Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddmore, and Peter Venkman. Gary Oldman On How Batman And Harry Potter "Saved" Him

Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman has said the major movie franchises he starred in--Batman and Harry Potter--"saved" him and his home life. Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show (below), Oldman said he turned down many opportunities to star in movies because they filmed in far-away places like Prague, Australia, and Budapest because he wanted to spend more time with his sons.

Then, at age 46, he was cast as Sirius Black in the Harry Potter movie series, and then he landed another huge role a few years later as Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan's Batman series. These movies required less travel and paid better, allowing Oldman the time and resources to raise his children.

"Thank God for Harry Potter," Oldman said (via Variety). "I tell you, the two--Batman and Harry Potter--really, they saved me, because it meant that I could do the least amount of work for the most amount of money and then be home with the kids."Continue Reading at GameSpot

George Clooney Says There Aren't "Enough Drugs In The World" To Return As Batman

Michael Keaton may have donned the suit to return as the Dark Knight in The Flash after decades away, but don't expect a similar arc to play out for George Clooney. He made it plain and simple while promoting The Boys in the Boat that he has no intentions of wearing rubber nipples again.

Speaking with ET, Clooney said he doesn't "think there's enough drugs in the world for me" to become Batman once more. At the same time, he seemed pretty self-aware that there isn't some big push for him to play the superhero again.

For instance, the Batman discussion began with a question about his surprise cameo as Bruce Wayne in The Flash. "Well, I thought there was such a clamor for me to come back as [Batman], as you know," he jokingly said. Last week, Clooney made light of his Flash appearance as well. The actor had previously only portrayed the Dark Knight in 1997's Batman & Robin, which was critically panned and underperformed at the box office.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Reacher's Alan Ritchson Would Still Very Much Like To Be Batman

With James Gunn and Peter Safran ushering in an entirely new DC cinematic universe that was announced back in January, they're starting to put the pieces of their pantheon together with Superman, Lois Lane, Guy Gardner, Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, and even Lex Luthor. Part of the DC movie relaunch was the inclusion of a new Batman movie, Batman: The Brave and The Bold--which will be set outside of Matt Reeves' Batman universe, which was dubbed an Elseworld project.

So with Robert Pattinson and Ben Affleck out of the running for this Batman movie, fans have been throwing in their ideas for those to hit the casting couch. One of the names at the top of the list is Reacher's Alan Ritchson, who is all-in for nabbing the role.

"With all the rumors flying that I’m supposed to be playing Batman, how can I knock Batman," he told Fortress of Solitude. "I would love to play Batman."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Dead Space Creator Glen Schofield Can't Wait To Share Details On His "New And Exciting" Project Soon

Dead Space The Callisto Protocol creator Glen Schofield is hard at work on something new, as after enjoying some rest, the game developer posted an update on X/Twitter regarding his next project and plans to share details on it in the new year.

Although I’ve taken some time off, I’ve been extremely busy & not just drawing. Something in games that’s new and exciting. Can’t wait to share more after the New Year! — Glen A. Schofield (@GlenSchofield) December 17, 2023

Schofield's last project was The Callisto Protocol, a return to sci-fi horror that received poor critical reception upon release. Developed at Striking Distance--where Schofield served as co-founder and CEO of the studio--the game did receive several substantial updates after release, but parent company Krafton still proceeded to lay off more than 30 staff members back in August. Schofield also left the studio, but in a statement, he confirmed that his exit had been planned for a while so that the new CEO, Steve Papoutsis, would have as smooth a transition as possible.

"Creating Striking Distance Studios has been an incredible journey and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved with The Callisto Protocol, a game close to my heart. While pursuing a new adventure is exciting, leaving SDS is bittersweet, but I know the studio is in excellent hands," Schofield said at the time.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Jack Black Has No Idea If Mario Movie Is Getting A Sequel But He Has A Wild Idea For It

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is 2023's No. 2 biggest movie, having banked more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Many are expecting a sequel to be announced soon, but it hasn't happened yet. Actor Jack Black, who plays Bowser, told Variety that it has been "radio silence" so far about a sequel.

"The only chatter has been coming from me, and I don't even know if I'm allowed to chatter. I've been chomping at the bit to get back to business," Black said.

Given how much money the first movie made, it seems like there is a commercial opportunity to press ahead with a sequel. Or perhaps Nintendo is spacing out its announcements, as the company did just recently announce a live-action Zelda movie with Sony Pictures. There have also been rumors of further Mario spinoffs, like a potential Donkey Kong movie with Seth Rogen. Continue Reading at GameSpot
