The Hobbit Encyclopedia Preorders Discounted At Amazon Ahead Of September 3 Release

If you're an avid Tolkien fan and have a particular fondness for The Hobbit, the upcoming Hobbit Encyclopedia should be on your radar. The 336-page book takes a deep dive into the lore of Middle-earth, covering everything from iconic characters and places to sacred objects and other essential lore. DC's John Constantine Returns With A New Hellblazer Omnibus Collection

Almost 40 years after he first appeared in the pages of Swamp Thing, John Constantine's early years are getting reprinted in a deluxe hardcover compendium. This massive first volume collects Constantine's solo adventures, and it's currently priced at $139.50 (normally $150) on Amazon ahead of its October 15 release. At almost 1,600 pages in length, this is a gigantic tour across the seedy supernatural underbelly of London, and it comes with a ton of extra content as well.

This particular run was written by Jamie Delano, who helped establish Constantine and his world through dozens of comic book issues, creating a complex and captivating character. There are some terrific tales here, like The Fear Machine and The Family Man, and the art from John Ridgway, Richard Piers Rayner, Stephen R. Glen Powell, Who Was In Dark Knight Rises, Says He's Never Been Asked To Do A DC Or Marvel Movie

Actor Glen Powell is making waves in Hollywood through a number of roles in high-profile films like Top Gun: Maverick, Hit Man, Anyone but You, and Twisters--but could he do a comic book movie next?

Powell told The Playlist that he enjoys DC and Marvel movies, but no one from those companies has called and asked him to star--at least not yet (Powell has, however, played a small role in a Batman movie already). "You know I've never gotten a call from DC or Marvel," he said. "But I'm a fan of everything they do."

Powell went on to say that he saw Deadpool & Wolverine and said he thoroughly enjoyed it. "I think what Shawn [Levy] and Ryan [Reynolds] did with that is like extraordinary and just such a fun flavor for audiences. And I cheer for them. Nintendo's Creepy Game Is Taking A Neat Approach To Demos

Earlier this summer, Nintendo released the unsettling first look at Emio - The Smiling Man, before revealing that it's a long-awaited sequel to the Famicom Detective Club games. The game will be arriving before the end of the month, but players won't have to wait that long to get their hands on it because the first chapter will be released as a demo next week.

Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing multiple demos for Emio - The Smiling Man, starting with Chapter 1 on August 19. Additional chapters will be added on August 22 and August 27. And in a nice touch, players' progress through each chapter can be carried over to the full game when it is released.

So far, what we know about Emio is that he's an urban legend in the game who committed multiple murders nearly two decades ago. Emio's smiling faces on his paper bag mask also appeared to change in the promo materials that are on Nintendo's official site for the title. The new game will cast players as a private investigator's assistant as they attempt to uncover the truth behind Emio's apparent return. Is the original Emio resuming his murder spree? Monkey business is usually discouraged when it comes to Souls-like games, but Black Myth: Wukong is the rare exception to the rule. One of the big game releases of August, you can score a pretty decent 10% discount on the PC version of the game, over at Fanatical. Normally $60, you can grab the game for just $54 ahead of its August 19 release, or if you feel like unlocking some extra content, the digital deluxe edition will cost you just $63 (normally $70). Fortnite Downtime: When Will Fortnite Servers Be Back For Chapter 5 Season 4?

Fortnite servers are down for routine maintenance, but soon, they'll be back up and ready for players to invade the game by the millions in Chapter 5 Season 4.

After a polarizing season of vehicular combat and those awesome Nitro Fists, Fortnite's Wrecked season has come to a close, and the new season, Absolute Doom, is imminent. But, for the moment, we're stuck in limbo with Fortnite offline while Epic Games deploys the season update. This is standard procedure--we get at least a few hours of downtime before each new season. It's just a matter of time now.

WWE Star Randy Orton Auditioned For Major Deadpool 2 Role

Randy Orton has been with the WWE for over 20 years now and is a celebrated performer within the company. He's captured every major championship and headlined his share of marquee matches throughout his career and recently re-signed with WWE for another five years. He's sprinkled in a few movies in his career, as wrestlers tend to do, and even auditioned for Deadpool 2.

During his time talking with current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on the recent episode of What Do You Want To Talk About?, Orton surprised Rhodes with a few facts about his career, but also how he wanted to lean more into Hollywood acting like John Cena and land auditions.
