Stuck in development hell for what seemed like an eternity, Dead Island 2 wasn't a GOTY contender, but it still had plenty of cheeky charm. While Dead Island 2 has been out for a while, the Ultimate Edition is perfect for anyone who prefers physical media to digital, since you're getting the base game and its two expansions, Haus and SoLA, all on one disc. You'll also get some gear to help you survive the zombie apocalypse, like various weapon packs, premium skins for all six Slayers, and more cosmetics to apply to each character. If you missed it when it first came out, Dead Island 2 is a horror-action first-person game that unfolds in Los Angeles after the city was overrun with zombies. It has a great sense of humor, plenty of interesting gameplay systems, and it's one of the best 7/10 games of 2023. Basically, it has a few annoyances, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.
