GTA 6: A Key Theory Has Been Debunked

A running theory about Grand Theft Auto VI is that Troy Baker, one of the most popular and best-known voice actors in gaming, is voicing the male lead in the open-world game. Baker himself has now responded to that theory, telling The Movie Dweeb that he counts it as a compliment that people think it's him, but it's not.

"I want that guy, whoever it is, to get credit for his work, because I'm sure it's going to be great. That's a grind. Those guys pour themselves into those characters and they deserve all of the credit for their work," Baker said of people who do voicework for Rockstar Games.

When GTA VI's first trailer arrived in December 2023, some people believed Lucia's partner, rumored to be named Jason, was voiced by Baker because the one line the character has in the trailer sounds like Baker's voice. For what it's worth, we don't know who is voicing Lucia yet, either, though of course the internet has its theories on that, too.
