James Gunn Quashes Wonder Woman Theory About Who Will Play The Role Next

A rumor making the rounds that claims Elizabeth Debicki could take over for Gal Gadot and become the next Wonder Woman has been debunked by DC Studios co-head James Gunn.

Gunn said on social media (via GamesRadar) that he has "never even had this thought." Gunn and Debicki worked together on the Guardians of the Galaxy film series in which Debicki played Ayesha. Gunn said he has enjoyed his time working with Debicki, but the Wonder Woman rumor is not true.

According to an October 2023 report from Variety, Gadot will not come back to play Wonder Woman again, as Gunn is kickstarting a new DC roster.
