Inside Job, Netflix's animated homage to shows like The X-Files, was recently renewed for a second season, but that's no longer the case. The streaming service canceled the series that was created by Gravity Falls alumni Shion Takeuchi and co-executive produced by Takeuchi and Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsh.
Takeuchi announced the cancellation Sunday evening on Twitter. "I'm heartbroken to confirm that Netflix has decided to cancel season 2 of Inside Job,” she posted. "Over the years, these characters have become real people to me, and I am devastated not to be able to watch them grow up."
The project fell under Takeuchi and Hirsch's development deal with the streaming giant and was the first adult-animation series produced in-house by Netflix Animation Studios.Continue Reading at GameSpot
