The Mandalorian Rides Once Again In New Trailer For Season 3

HBO's newest show, The Last Of Us, had a massive series premiere. The first episode picked up 4.7 million viewers on Sunday night, HBO announced today. This counts viewers across traditional linear TV and via HBO Max platforms for Sunday night alone. With 4.7 million viewers, The Last of Us is HBO's second largest debut since 2010, only behind the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon (9.98 million) in that time. HBO said said Sunday night viewership for any HBO series makes up only about 20%-40% of an episode's total audience, so The Last of Us' viewership is likely to grow significantly in the days to come. For example, The Last of Us did "nearly double" the numbers of the Season 2 debut evening for HBO's Euphoria. Crafting in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a very resource-intensive task, so you're going to need lots and lots of every material you can get your hands on if you have the goal of crafting a wide variety of items for use in decorating your valley. One of the materials you'll need the most of is Hardwood, which can only be found in certain places in the game. Check below for where you can find Hardwood and why you'll want to stockpile it. Where to get Hardwood in Disney Dreamlight Valley Hardwood can be found laying on the ground near trees in the following biomes: * Forest of Valor * Frosted Heights * Glade of Trust * Sunlit Plateau Hardwood is darker than Softwood but lighter than Dark Wood. Some biomes may have multiple types of these woods, so if you find that there's not much Hardwood around, you may need to pick up all of the other types to reset the spawns. Generally speaking, though, you should have no issue finding and collecting plenty of Hardwood by visiting each of the above biomes. No, Keeping Your PS5 Console In Vertical Mode Won't Damage It

A few weeks ago, reports began circulating that PS5 owners who had their console in a vertical position were at risk of damaging the device. The claim made by hardware repair shop owner 68Logic (via Wololo, which has since updated its article) described the liquid metal used to cool the APU as being the culprit, as the shop had encountered cases where the substance had spilled out of its container and had begun spreading around the PS5 motherboard. In an update from Wololo on Twitter, the site added that while this problem can occur, there is "no evidence" that it'll happen to PS5 consoles that are fresh out of the box and haven't been opened. If your PS5 has been operating normally since you acquired it and hasn't had its shell cracked open for a fix, then there's no danger in leaving it in a vertical position if you have the space to do so. If you have had it fixed recently, you might want to exercise some caution in how you position it. The Original Meta Quest Is Losing Support And Features

Meta has announced that it's officially ending support for the Quest 1, as it will cease adding new features to the original virtual reality headset. While users can still expect software and security patches to be added, this support will also come to an end in 2024. While Quest 1 users will still be able to use the headsets and any compatible apps, the option to create or join a party will no longer be available. Quest 1 owners will also lose access to Meta Horizon Home social features from March 5, such as the ability to visit the homes of other users or invite them into your digital house. Shingo Yabuki Kicks Off The King Of Fighters XV Season 2 On January 17

After releasing first details at Evo back in August, SNK has fully revealed its plans for The King Of Fighter XV's second season of downloadable content, which will include six fighters and multiple gameplay enhancements. The Last Of Us hits HBO Max later this month, which will give us a brand-new take on the franchise's main characters Joel Miller and Ellie Williams. However, a pair of modders decided they didn't want to wait, and they inserted the likeness of Ellie's HBO actress Bella Ramsey into The Last Of Us Part II. A modder by the name of Vontadeh has created a model with Ramsey's face sculpted onto the in-game Ellie model, with another modder called smasher248 credited with creating the tools to implement the model. YouTuber Speclizer put together a montage of Ramsey as Ellie in-game, showing the modder duo's handiwork in real time. A pinned comment from Vontadeh on the video goes into more detail on how they were able to get Ramsey into the game. Though there was no official word on new release timing, recent tweets from the game's publisher Victura would seem to indicate that the developer is still working on the project. M3GAN is currently killing it at the domestic box office, having blown way past last week's predictions to take second place, paving the way for an unrated gorier cut to possibly be released in the future. Screenwriter Akela Cooper revealed that the film originally had a much "gorier" tone and featured the killer doll racking up a higher body count compared to the murder spree shown on the big screen. "No shade to Universal, love them, and I understand that once the trailer went viral, teenagers got involved and you want them to be able to see it. There should be an unrated version at some point," Cooper said to the Los Angeles Times. "I heard it is on the books. But yes, it was way gorier. Growing up, I never played Dungeons & Dragons. It was probably a combination of the game seeming overwhelming with its many races, classes, and rules to learn, but also because it seemed like it was too dorky for a kid who was already spending most of his time playing video games--cool ones, though. However, and as my eventual career path would prove, I was lying to myself. I found the appeal of Dungeons & Dragons growing stronger as I discovered hilarious shows like Nerd Poker and, more recently, Dimension 20. I was starting to learn the basics of Dungeons & Dragons' rules despite only tuning in for laughs, but everyone I knew who played the game was already very experienced. Who wants to play with someone who's still learning how to tack on modifiers and roll for initiative? Video games seemed like a good alternative, but choosing one wasn't so easy. There have been countless official Dungeons & Dragons games released over the years, though not all of them have stuck to the tabletop version's gameplay style or rules, and most of them--Baldur's Gate 3 being the biggest exception--use older D&D rulesets. Because they use old rulesets and often different game mechanics, these other games are much less useful for actually learning how to play D&D. We are less than two weeks from the premiere of HBO's adaptation of The Last of Us and you could say fans of the franchise are getting pretty hyped. With Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal as Joel and Game of Thrones standout Bella Ramsey as Ellie, this post-apocalyptic zombie drama has all the makings of a hopefully instant classic--something that is quite rare for video games brought to life as movies or TV shows. There's no doubt, though, that fans are going to be worried about changes being made to the story. And yes, changes are made--but with good reason--over the course of the first season, which covers the first game. Speaking to GameSpot, TV Guide, and Metacritic, The Last of Us game writer and co-director Neil Druckmann--who is also a writer and executive producer on the show--was quick to explain. "There's things that work in the game that would just not work in the show," he said. "The game is about--sometimes--immersion and these continuous sequences through continuous space and time to get you to feel like you're that character. And the show, if we were to shoot it exactly like that, it would just get boring, the violence would get rote in a way that it doesn't in the game because there’s certain mechanics and stuff that really affect you." It's hard to argue with Druckmann's reasoning here. While the games are a fascinating and creepy dive into Joel and Ellie's experiences in a zombie-filled wasteland, a camera simply following them around while they kill off clickers and anyone that gets in their way can only be entertaining for so long when you're not personally controlling their actions. The two peers, Samir Nagheenanajar (Ajay Naidu) and Michael Bolton (David Herman) infect Initech's accounting system with a virus designed to steal off fractions of fractions of mere cents over time to a separate bank account. Thinking it would be small enough to be untraceable, the virus quickly takes $300,000, and the men panic with hilarious results. Over 20 years later, despite being a box office flop at the time, Office Space has become a true cult classic with recognizable quotes and a merchandising machine selling everything from board games to apparel of all sorts. It apparently influenced a man who tried to do a similar scam and got caught. Former Zulily employee, Ermenildo Valdez Castro thought he'd get away by trying the same scheme on the online shopping company, even labeling the operation the "Office Space project" on his work laptop. Court records from the Seattle Times showed how he introduced a code to siphon money away from the e-commerce company and wire it into his personal account. But it's time to kick things into full gear with the Gift of Giving Event, which runs from December 18 to December 31.
