Spider-Man: No Way Home's Script Was Rewritten While Filming

Actor Tom Holland has revealed in a new GQ interview that Spider-Man: No Way Home was being rewritten while shooting. "You could ask the director [Jon Watts], 'What happens in act three?'" said Holland. "His response would be, 'I'm still trying to figure it out'." Holland then further elaborated--though offered few details--about a "crescendo scene" that "wasn't working." Holland and Watts sidebarred and agreed the scene "was wrong." The pair "sat down...and we came up with a new idea." Although fans have been lighting up social media with concern over this detail, the reality is scripts frequently change from initial development all the way up to post-production. It doesn't necessarily mean anything one way or the other ultimately for the story or how the film might land with critics.
