It was another big weekend at the box office, with newcomers Halloween Kills and The Last Duel debuting in theaters and No Time To Die entering its second weekend in the US.
Halloween Kills, which stars Jamie Lee Curtis, earned $50.35 million over the Friday-Sunday period, and that number is good for a pair of new box office records, according to Deadline. That's the biggest opening weekend for a horror movie during the pandemic, outpacing A Quiet Place Part II ($47.5 million). Halloween Kills also now holds the record for the best opening weekend for an R-rated movie during the pandemic, crushing The Suicide Squad ($26.2 million).
