The Bring It On franchise started in 2000 and had Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union as rival members of high school cheer squads vying for a national title. It eventually spun-off into six direct-to-video sequels, none of which contain any of the original cast members. The last one was 2017's Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack, and they all follow a similar plot...until now. Collider reported last month that the latest entry to the franchise will be a made-for-TV horror movie, and a new teaser showcases both the comedy the series is known for, mixed in heavily with some dark humor and horror, but lets you know upfront this is pure camp. Capcom has confirmed a foursome of classic Street Fighter characters will be returning in Street Fighter 6, dialing the confirmed playable character count to 11. Ken, Dhalsim, E. Honda, and Blanka all featured during the Capcom TGS 2022 Online Program, giving players a first look at all of their abilities. The four will retain most of their moves from previous iterations, while adding a few new tricks to their arsenals. The newest episode of House of the Dragon posted viewership gains compared to the previous one, according to a new report. Episode 4, King of the Narrow Sea, saw its total viewership rise by 5% week-over-week, according to Variety. This was total viewership across linear TV and HBO Max in the US specifically. For linear TV specifically, viewership for Episode 4 dropped to 2.474 million from 2.536 million for episode 3, but as mentioned, total viewership in the US across all platforms posted a 5% week-over-week gain. House of the Dragon premiered on August 21 with a bang, picking up a whopping 20 million-plus viewers. Yakuza 8 Is Now Like A Dragon 8, Coming To PC And Console In 2024

Yakuza developer Ryu Ga Gotoku has officially revealed Like a Dragon 8, the next game in its long-running series that will drop its Yakuza title. During the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Summit livestream, executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama announced the game and showed off the first teaser trailer, which reunites Yakuza: Like a Dragon's protagonist Ichiban Kasuga with Yakuza 1-6 hero Kiryu Kazuma. Like a Dragon 8 will be released in 2024 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game will once again use the RPG elements introduced in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and RGG is still deep in development on the title. Tekken 8 Revealed For PS5 During State Of Play

During today's State of Play, Bandai Namco kicked the show off with a first look at Tekken 8, the next installment of the long-running fighting game franchise. The brief teaser trailer showed Jin Kazama facing off against his father, Kazuya Mishima, on a rainy and rocky cliff. Jin was able to switch to his Devil form on the fly, performing a massive punch after doing so. Massive storms rage behind the fighters during the battle, with tornadoes raging in the sea below. A PlayStation Blog post by Tekken executive producer Katsuhiro Harada confirms that all visuals seen in the trailer--the "character models, backgrounds, and effects"--are all in-game assets. After being revealed during the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary livestream earlier this year, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion has been confirmed for a December 13 release date via a new trailer during today's Nintendo Direct. Crisis Core follows Zack Fair, the Soldier 2nd Class linked to Cloud Strife in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake, in a prequel adventure that first launched on the Sony PSP in 2009. More details about Crisis Core Reunion have been revealed on the Square Enix blog, including a deep dive on the combat system. "Infinity is going to be a hub that will unite all our different experiences and our players, together in meaningful ways." Disney's D23 Expo is underway in Anaheim, California and bringing plenty of Disney-related news and announcements with it. In the first major panel of the convention, director Justin Simien took to the stage to deliver some casting developments for his upcoming Haunted Mansion movie. This announcement came after the debut trailer for yet another spooky classic, Hocus Pocus 2, which will return the Sanderson Sisters to their witchy ways later this year. Most notably, Jamie Lee Curtis will be joining the production to play Madame Leota, the Mansion's resident psychic who appears as a ghostly head inside a levitating crystal ball. Simien also teased that Jared Leto may be playing the Hatbox Ghost--another iconic character who was present for the ride's original conception, and then removed for several decades, only to be restored as a brand new animatronic in 2015. Simien played coy with that particular announcement, however, and only winked at the possibility of Leto appearing. Unlike Curtis, Leto was not on-hand at the show. These included games like Evolve, Battleborn, and Spec Ops: The Line not living up to expectations, for one reason or another. According to a new report, 2024's Call of Duty game might tell a story about the war in Iraq. Twitter user TheGhostOfHope, who has accurately reported on unannounced Call of Duty details in the past, said the campaign for 2024's Call of Duty game will cover what the US government calls Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as the Battle of Mogadishu, which took place years earlier. In response to the 9/11 attacks, the United States and other allies launched attacks on Iraq in events that later came to be known as Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Details of Splatoon 3's launch patch have been revealed. The patch allows players to change a certain character's appearance, to unlock a new mode in the single player campaign, and to access online features. Via Perfectly Nintendo, the patch makes some changes to Hero Mode, the game's single-player campaign. Fair warning, this paragraph includes very light story spoilers (i.e. location names). So go ahead and skip it if you want to remain completely unspoiled. The update allows you to change series mainstay Cap'n Cuttlefish's appearance from the sketchbook at the Crater tent. The new information came out in CD Projekt's latest earnings report, when CEO Adam Kiciński was asked about the use of the word "saga" in the early marketing for Witcher 4. "Like the first saga was three games... we are in pre-production of the first game from the second Witcher saga," Kiciński explained, adding that the studio is "thinking about more than one game." Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has said Nintendo will not raise the price of the Nintendo Switch. In any other timeline, that wouldn't be surprising at all. Console prices tend to come down over time--not increase--but due to supply chain issues and other factors, manufacturing costs are actually going up these days for Nintendo. Nintendo will not pass these increased costs along to the consumer and charge more, however.
