Netflix Is Adapting Yu Yu Hakusho Into Live-Action Series

Netflix is developing Yoshihiro Togashi's popular manga Yu Yu Hakusho, and subsequent equally popular anime by Noriyuki Abe, as a live-action series. The series has already been made into a slew of video games, but this will be the first time Yusuke Urameshi and his ghost-busting crew of Hiei, Kurama, and Kazuma Kuwabara translate to live-action. When Yusuke dies saving another’s life, he’ll embark on a journey across the world of humans, spirits, and demons to return to the land of the living. With each case he gets, Yusuke meets several characters such as his great rival Kazuma Kuwabara, the demon Kurama, and the sword-wielding fire demon Hiei. The original manga has 19 volumes that were published between 1990 and 1994 and the anime series has 112 episodes that originally aired in Japan from 1992 and 1995, eventually coming to America in 2002.Continue Reading at GameSpot
