The new video for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League--seen below--shows Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark facing off against the iconic DC superheroes. At one point, The Flash asks the group whether they actually "think they can stop us." Captain Boomerang clearly believes they can, as he's shown shooting at the Scarlet Speedster afterward in the launch trailer.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be the first game from developer Rocksteady since Batman: Arkham VR in 2016 and Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. Breaking Bad Spinoff About Gus Fring Could Be "Very Interesting," Giancarlo Esposito Says

Giancarlo Esposito, who played Gus Fring on Breaking Bad and the prequel series Better Call Saul, has said he wants to pitch a show called "The Rise of Gus." This would be a prequel series that reveals more of the drug kingpin's past, he told Variety recently.

Foamstars Scrubs Up A February PS Plus Release Date

Foamstars, Square Enix's upcoming 4v4 foam-party shooter, now has a confirmed release date of February 6. Not only will the game be launching for PS5 and PS4 consoles in a busy month, but it'll also be available through all tiers of Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service until March 5, after which the game will cost you $30.

Beyond the news of its upcoming launch, Square Enix has also detailed the first year of seasonal content for the game. Similar to other live-service games, new cosmetics, playable characters, maps, and modes will be added to Foamstars, and each season will have an optional premium pass available for $6. Purchasing the premium season pass instantly unlocks new characters and gives players the chance to earn seasonal cosmetics.

This "Sharks On A Plane" Movie Looks Terrifying

You've heard of Snakes on a Plane, but what about Sharks on a Plane? That's sort of the vibe of the new thriller No Way Up, which tells the story of a flight gone horribly wrong and passengers fighting for their lives at the bottom of the ocean against sharks.

Yesterday, performer's union SAG-AFTRA announced a deal with AI voice studio Replica Studios that would allow game developers to use AI-generated voices on union projects. The announcement was met with outcry from many of the industry's most prolific voice actors, who claim they were blindsided by the agreement.

Today, the union and Replica have both revealed more details about the agreement, including releasing the full text of the contract itself, complete with compensation requirements and details around consent and protections required for using AI voices.

While SAG-AFTRA's initial press release stated that the agreement was approved by "affected members of the union’s voiceover performer community," an FAQ released today clarifies that the bargaining was done by the union's Interactive Media Negotiating Committee in a process that has been "years in the making." SAG-AFTRA also explains that this contract was not required to be sent out to members for a referendum as it "only sets terms for a single company." Actor Barry Keoghan has revealed he could have died after suffering from a case of necrotizing fasciitis, which medical experts say is fatal in one of five people who contract it.

Samsung Reveals 3D Monitor That Can Play VR Games Without A Headset

Samsung has revealed a new monitor in development with the working title Samsung 2D/3D Gaming Monitor, which boasts a 3D mode that doesn't require glasses. The monitor also has the ability to play VR games without a headset, with Samsung stating it's compatible with existing VR games and experiences.

The monitor is still in development, but Samsung took the opportunity to show off the new technology at its First Look event ahead of CES in Las Vegas this weekend. Built into the monitor are two cameras to track eye and head movement, which in 3D mode are used to optimize 3D effects. The 3D mode can also be used to enhance other content, and the monitor features a specialized UI for browsing in 3D.

The monitor's eye tracking technology also lends itself to playing VR games without requiring a dedicated VR headset, with the monitor able to handle "existing VR games, experiences, and content." HBO's iconic drama The Sopranos celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, HBO is releasing deleted scenes, launching a new TikTok account, streaming episodes for free, and hosting real-world fan gatherings.

The TikTok account (@TheSopranos) is running 25-second recaps of all 86 episodes, and it's presumably a bid to get young people to get into the show and then sign up for Max to watch it.

HBO's The Last Of Us Gets Shut Out At Golden Globes

After receiving three nominations, HBO's The Last of Us failed to win any awards at The Golden Globes over the weekend. The critically acclaimed show came up short in all of its categories to Succession.

The Last of Us was nominated for best TV series (drama), best performance by a male actor in a TV drama (Pedro Pascal), and best performance by a female actor in a TV drama (Bella Ramsey). The Hollywood Reporter notes Succession ended up winning best drama TV series, with the show's Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook beating out Pascal and Ramsey, respectively. In fact, Variety posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Culkin playfully told Pascal to "suck it."

However, The Last of Us did fare better at the Creative Arts Emmys. The show based on the PlayStation video game franchise brought home eight awards. More of Microsoft's exclusive games are reportedly coming to other platforms, according to several rumors and reports.

Microsoft has been eying the possibility of expanding the reach of some of its first-party games. "Microsoft has been exploring bringing some of its back catalog to other platforms, although some of the details remain vague and unconfirmed," reported Windows Central.

Other sources, such as insider "Nate the Hate" and Resetera user lolilolailo, pinned Hi-Fi Rush as the most likely game to be coming to other platforms. If you're a PlayStation fan, you can thank Nintendo for its decision to ditch Sony and partner up with Phillips for its first CD-based console, ultimately leading to the greatest revenge flex of all time when Sony entered the gaming market with the PlayStation console. But before Nintendo's great betrayal, a prototype of a Sony-powered SNES console did exist. If you had enough cash, that device could have been yours for a little over $300,000.

That price tag might be a tad too high for most people, and fortunately, there is a more affordable alternative as demonstrated by YouTuber James Channel. All you need are old SNES and PlayStation consoles, knowledge on how to safely work with electricity, and a lot of hot glue to create your very own Nintendo-branded Sony CD-ROM console. Nick Offerman, who appeared in HBO's The Last of Us and won his first Emmy on Sunday evening for his portrayal of Bill, has revealed that a prequel series about the post-apocalypse lovers Bill and Frank has been pitched. Offerman told Deadline that the team is "not short on ideas" for a prequel series about the lives of Bill and Frank before they met, fell in love, and died together.

I think we pitched a whole mini-series of a prequel of their lives before they met each other. It could be a musical. We're not short on ideas. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's closed technical alpha recently wrapped, and while access to the game was granted on the condition that a non-disclosure agreement was signed, that hasn't stopped some people from posting big spoilers online. The upcoming open-world game pits the Suicide Squad against a Justice League that has been brainwashed by Superman foe Brainiac, and some key moments in the game's campaign have been leaked. While we won't spoil anything here, you're going to want to mute as much of the game as possible from your social feeds and YouTube. You Can Finally Watch Luigi In Action In Super Mario 64, Sort Of

A video uploaded to a small Japanese YouTube account last month has become an important part of video game history. A seconds-long section of the video appears to show the first-ever known footage of Luigi in Super Mario 64.

The 13:20 mark of the video--which was uploaded to the Now In Game Channel account on November 22--shows a brief look at a few monitors at Nintendo's booth from the 1995 Space World convention in Japan. One of the monitors flashes to a room with checkerboard flooring, while a tall figure in a green shirt, green hat, and overall performs the SM64 spin jump and floats to the ground.

Dead Space The Callisto Protocol creator Glen Schofield is hard at work on something new, as after enjoying some rest, the game developer posted an update on X/Twitter regarding his next project and plans to share details on it in the new year.

Schofield's last project was The Callisto Protocol, a return to sci-fi horror that received poor critical reception upon release. Schofield also left the studio, but in a statement, he confirmed that his exit had been planned for a while so that the new CEO, Steve Papoutsis, would have as smooth a transition as possible.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is 2023's No. 2 biggest movie, having banked more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Many are expecting a sequel to be announced soon, but it hasn't happened yet. Actor Jack Black, who plays Bowser, told Variety that it has been "radio silence" so far about a sequel.

Given how much money the first movie made, it seems like there is a commercial opportunity to press ahead with a sequel.
