New Daredevil TV Show Coming In Spring 2024

To kick off the Marvel panel on Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 was the announcement that Daredevil is returning to television. That's right, everyone's favorite blind lawyer is coming back, but this time around, it will be to Disney+. What's even more exciting about the show, which is titled Daredevil: Born Again, is that the first season of the show will launch in Spring 2024 and will star none other than Charlie Cox. The First John Wick 4 Trailer Has Been Unleashed

With the first promotional image dropping for the fourth installment of Keanu Reeves' John Wick franchise earlier this week, it was only time before the first trailer hit during Comic-Con. Well, it hit and it hit hard. It's only about a minute, but we're treated to sword fights, fist fights, and even a nunchuck fight. "No one, not even you, can kill everyone," Hiroyuki Sanada, who plays Shimazu, tells John. Keanu Reeves' BRZRKR Headed To Netflix With New Movie And Anime Series

BRZRKR, the comic book by actor Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, and artist Ron Garney, will be adapted into a live-action movie from Netflix, which also plans to launch an anime series based on the comic as a sequel. Reeves is set to star in the live-action film, as well as provide the voice for the anime. The projects were announced during BOOM! Studios' BRZRKR panel, with Reeves being ecstatic about the development during the panel. The anime will be produced by Production I.G and is already in early stages. Black Adam Adds Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, New Trailer Released

The DC movie universe may be a bit scrambled at this point, but there is seemingly one character still holding various movies together. During the Black Adam panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it was confirmed that Viola Davis would appear in the movie as Amanda Waller, a role she'd played in Suicide Squad, The Suicide Squad, and even HBO Max's Peacemaker. Waller was seen in footage screened for the crowd in Hall H, calling in the Justice Society of America to lock Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) down, as he's a loose cannon. According to GameSpot's Mason Downey, who is in Hall H for the presentation, the footage shown was more violent than you might expect. It remains to be seen how present Waller will be in the film, though chances are she won't be as present as she is in the Suicide Squad films. In the new trailer, Shazam is joined by his foster brothers and sisters as they join forces to take on the sisters of Atlas--Hespera and Kalypso--who are upset with the Shazam family taking the power of the gods. On July 26, the newest expansion for GTA Online, The Criminal Enterprises, will release. Alongside it are a number of improvements and changes, many requested by players through the GTA Feedback website. Starting with this update, GTA Online players will be able to engage in business activities via private, Invite Only sessions. You can register as a VIP, CEO, or MC President within Invite Only, Crew, and Friend sessions. All business owners can still sell their wares on public sessions. The update will also bring various vehicle enhancement changes. Vehicles which can attend the LS Car Meet can now be equipped with Low Grip Tires. The mechanic will deliver ordered vehicles faster. Guerrilla Games Is Shutting Down Online Servers For Killzone, RIGS

Guerrilla Games has today announced that online servers for a number of its games will shut down on August 12. The studio behind Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West shared the news today on Twitter, stating that online servers for Killzone: Mercenary, Killzone Shadow Fall--including Intercept Mode--and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League will be closing down on this date. Abilities Elemental Skill - Jumpy Dumpty * Klee throws out a Jumpy Dumpty bomb that bounces three times, then explodes. Each bounce deals AoE Pyro damage. This skill has two charges, meaning two Jumpy Dumpties can be thrown with separate cooldowns. * Jumpy Dumpty explodes into small mines that explode on contact with an enemy, or after a short amount of time has passed. These also deal AoE Pyro damage. Elemental Burst - Sparks 'n' Splash * Klee continuously summons Sparks 'n' Splash bombs to attack nearby enemies, dealing AoE Pyro damage. * This barrage of bombs will initially last for 10 seconds, but the duration can increase as Talents are leveled up. Passive Talents * Klee's Pounding Surprise passive gives her a 50% chance to gain an Explosive Spark whenever she deals damage with either Jumpy Dumpty or a normal attack. Square Enix Ignores Final Fantasy 7's Themes By Making 25th Anniversary NFTs

Square Enix has announced that it is following through with its promise of more blockchain integration by partnering with Enjin to produce Final Fantasy NFTs. A press release from Enji announced that to celebrate Final Fantasy 7's 25th anniversary, a digital collection of cards and figures are planned to be released. They'll apparently be tied to a physical version of these collectibles, one of which you can already preorder. The digital card NFTs are expected to launch in 2023. This first collectible comes in the form of a Cloud Strife Bring Arts figure, specifically the digital plus edition of it. The standard edition is just a figure of Cloud, designed to resemble his design from the original game. Mortal Kombat Movie Sequel Is Moving Ahead

New Line Cinema is officially reteaming with director Simon McQuoid on the Mortal Kombat film franchise's next sequel, according to Deadline. McQuoid will direct a script from Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight). Greg Russo, who penned the original, said back in April 2021 shortly after Mortal Kombat came out that a sequel's focus would be obvious since his movie necessarily left out entire realms due only to limited run time. In an interview around release, Russo said, "One of the realms that I felt like it didn't make sense to introduce in this story because we were so focused on Earthrealm and Outworld, was Edenia, which is another big realm in the Mortal Kombat universe." That could potentially mean that many of the characters that eagle-eyed fans noticed were missing could be making an appearance. Though Russo is not yet officially in the creative mix, he--and McQuoid--previously had discussed Kitana, Sindel, Jade, and Johnny Cage as obvious contenders for the next film. Rob Zombie's Munsters Get A Second Trailer, Revealing Blu-ray Release Date

It's been an interesting week for Rob Zombie's Munsters remake. Last week, we got our first trailer that brought the camp to intense levels, confusing Zombie's fanbase, and earlier this week it was revealed by Zombie himself that the movie will skip a theatrical release entirely and debut on Netflix, with a Blu-ray release coming shortly after, just in time for the start of Halloween season. The new trailer, which also promotes the Blu-ray release, doesn't really tell us more than the first trailer except who Munsters alum Butch Patrick will be playing, and confirms other cameos like Cassandra Petersen, Richard Brake (Batman Begins, Game of Thrones), and Jorge Garcia (Lost). This new trailer showcases Grandpa Munster's, played by Daniel Roebuck, disdain for Herman and Lily's (Jeff Daniel Phillips and Sheri Moon Zombie, respectively) budding romance and tries to sabotage it along the way. It acts more as an origin story of Herman and Lily's courtship since this trailer reveals that they get engaged. Destiny 2's New Solstice Gun Is Broken In A Ridiculous Way

The Solstice event is here in Destiny 2, bringing a summertime celebration to the game that has unique rewards for players to earn and a new "event card" system to dish out rewards. Solstice also comes with a new gun for players to earn called Something New, which features a trait you can't get on any other weapon. As with many new things to pop into Bungie's expansive MMO, however, Something New is not behaving exactly as it seems to have been intended, with a bug working in players' favor. Something New is a hand cannon--in Destiny parlance, a big revolver--that features a specific new trait called "Dreamwork." The new trait encourages you to work together with your teammate by giving you a reward for "assists," or enemies killed by your teammates that you also shot. When a teammate kills an enemy you shot with Something New, Dreamwork is supposed to add ammunition to the gun's magazine from your ammo reserves automatically, allowing you to keep shooting without stopping to reload. The interesting thing is that the Dreamwork trait can put more bullets into your gun than the magazine would normally hold, potentially giving you an overloaded weapon. If the magazine holds seven rounds when you reload it normally, for instance, successfully using Dreamwork might load 11 rounds into the magazine.The Dreamwork trait is supposed to overload your hand cannon when you get assists, but it can overload your other guns too. The thing is, the Dreamwork trait is working with other guns, not just Something New. As the Twitter account Destiny Bulletin pointed out, if you shoot an enemy with Something New, then quickly switch to another gun before your teammate kills that enemy, the other gun will get the overload bonus from the trait. That means you can overload weapons that are absolutely supposed to have their magazines capped at a certain number--for instance, rocket launchers, which are mostly supposed to fire only one shell at a time before being reloaded.Continue Reading at GameSpot

There was a time when Netflix had the whole pie to itself when it came to television and movie-streaming market share, but viable offerings from companies like Amazon, Disney, Apple, and Warner Bros Discovery have forced the service to rethink its business plan. The company is continuing to experiment with ways to crack down on password sharing in its Latin American market, Bloomberg reports. Limited Use is OK Netflix is going to ask users in Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic to pay an extra fee if they want to use an account for more than two weeks outside of their primary residence. This is meant to deter long-term password sharing while still making allowances for things like vacations. In these areas, you'll have a primary residence where you can access Netflix across all your devices. If you want to use your Netflix account at a secondary residence, Netflix is asking you to pay the equivalent of about $1.70 in Argentina and $2.99 in the other countries. Depending on your plan you can add more additional homes; one on the Basic plan, two on the Standard plan, and three on Premium. Writing on his Not A Blog, Martin said one of the most frequent questions he gets is whether or not his book series will end the same way as the HBO show did. It will not, Martin said. Skate 4 Leaked Videos Show Off Fun City's Massive Multiplayer Space

Several videos of Skate 4 have leaked online, showing off more of the game in action. The leaks come from a recent closed playtest of the game and provide a glimpse at Skate 4's map, customization features, and some of the in-game microtransactions being tested. While some videos were briefly on YouTube, these were taken down and players began hosting them on Reddit instead (via Eurogamer). The footage shows off a massive multiplayer space that can be explored, while other footage shows off a skate park that has been modified with elements from a build pack. Customization also appears to be a big part of the game, as players can deck their skater out in a range of gear, take photos, and share them with the Skate community. The Matrix Awakens is set to be delisted from the PlayStation and Xbox storefronts later this week, July 9. Epic Games announced the news on the demo's official site, writing, "Not explored The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience yet? There's still time! The UE5 tech demo will only be available in stores until July 9. Total spending on video games in the US is expected to see a year-over-year decline, the NPD Group said in findings published on Wednesday, a report that also predicted that Elden Ring will be 2022's best-selling game. One of the highlights of Episode 5 of Season 3 of The Boys on Amazon's Prime Video streaming service is the big musical number featuring Frenchie (Tomer Copone) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara)--it is certainly the most wholesome one of the season. And while this is just one scene in an episode, could there be a whole The Boys musical episode? According to showrunner Eric Kripke, that probably won't happen. "I'm a huge fan of musicals," Kripke told GameSpot. "Especially like old school, Hollywood musicals. And I'd been dying to get like just a huge, classic, innocent musical number into one of my shows, probably since Supernatural, but really blow the doors off it: lots of backup dancers, huge choreography." And Kripke and company did that, putting a lot of work into the one song and dance number inside the hospital, which turned out to be one of the more delightful. With Episode 5 of Season 3 of The Boys arriving on Prime Video this week, viewers were treated to a very fun musical number starring Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara). The silent character finds her voice as she partakes in a musical dance number with Frenchie inside a hospital. However, the idea of Kimiko getting her own musical number isn't new. It was going to happen in Season 2. Showrunner Eric Kripke is a huge fan of musicals and wanted to bring the magic of old Hollywood musicals to the Prime Video series. And this is something he's had planned for a while. "In Season 2 of The Boys, we thought we had our opportunity," Kripke told GameSpot. "And it was going to be this moment for Kimiko very similar, where she was going be able to really express herself and so much of this season is about, even though she doesn't necessarily speak out loud, Kimiko finding her voice. And so we couldn't do it last season, sadly. It just didn't fit into the story, ultimately." Vince McMahon Steps Back As WWE CEO Amid Internal Investigation

WWE and its board of directors announced that a special committee of the board is conducting an investigation into alleged misconduct by its Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, head of talent relations. McMahon will temporarily step down from his position. While the investigation also names Laurinaitis as a person of interest, there is no mention of him stepping away from his position at this time. Earlier this week, the Wall Street Journal reported that WWE had launched the investigation, which centered around millions in hush-money payments to women that McMahon is said to have had an affair with. The allegations were brought on after the board was contacted by someone who knew an employee that had left the company this year and received three million dollars for her silence. According to the report, it also uncovered other payments and legal agreements with other women through the decades. "I have pledged my complete cooperation to the investigation by the special committee, and I will do everything possible to support the investigation.
